A friend of mine, who's got a 749 back home in Finland, has recently moved to London and would be interested in getting a bike for commuting (Chelsea to Canary Wharf) as well as getting out of London on weekends.
Now, I'm perfectly happy with my 695 (my previous = current number one bike is a 125cc scoot) but would an ex-749 rider settle for that, or should he be looking at a bigger one?
I rather think he'd be wanting a second hand one, as he doesn't want to sell the 749, nor does he want to bring it here for his 10-mile commute.
What kind of money would he be expecting to spend for the most suitable Monster?

If it was me, for the commute I would want either the 695 or an S2r 800 as they both have the light clutch. Between those two, a 749 rider would appreciate the extra power of the S2r, so thats the one I would go for. But then I already have one. I've seen 2005 ones, which is as old as they get, going for less than 4k.

Paivi - you best drop 749er (Derek) a PM on the DSC.
He has a 749 for the fun stuff, and a 695 for the commute :)
