New Owner having problems starting M600

Hi,
Have just bought my first monster 600 1994 and having problems starting it.

The plugs seem to get very wet, plugs fitted are iridium NGK DRP9EIX-9. When I have looked through the threads DRP8EIX seem to the correct ones, will this make that much difference to starting?

I'm thinking about just going back to original plugs, Haynes says Champion RA4-HC, but other searches say RA6-HC

Any help appreciated.

I had the same problem with my wifes m750. Iridium plugs that got wet and would not start or it would only run on one cylinder. Now a lot of people swear by iridium plugs but i changed back to the regular plugs at 6 quid a pair and had no problems at all, even starts without choke on a warm day. Try this first and post your result.
