Got a chance of an ohlins rear shock taken from a 888 SP4 will it fit mt carbie 900, I seem to remember hearing somewhere that 888 parts are quite interchangable with monnie's but that might just be wishfull thinking.

Not at all, the 888 and carb monsters use the same frame. I have a 888 remote reservoir shock on my carb M900, works well, the spring is a little firm but that's easily changed should you need to. Get it bought and fitted!

Can I quickly add that my 888 Showa shock was rebuilt before I fitted it (well, actually after fitting it but let's not go there, eh..?) and initially it was way too hard for my 10.5 stone... but it has now bedded in and feels fine, and I have got used to it at the same time. Ok, a little bumpy on those bumpy things we laughingly call roads in places, but get it on normal roads and it's good to go. I like a nice firm rear end anyway to match the front.. ;)

Don't we all - that reminds me - I must get home early tonight so the missus can go to the gym...

Should be no probs then as I'm 5 1/2 stone more than that, yes it was me who ate all the pies.
