Ok guys, I’d really value your input at this point. The plan is to eventually build a set of custom pipes. In the meantime however, we’ve decided on a set of CF Mivv’s.

What I can’t quite decide on though, is how to finish them. I’ve got a pretty good idea of which one is the best, but I'd love to hear your thoughts :)

What do you think?

I think the chrome finishes it off nicelyand would be my preferred choice. However the fact that you have mainly black and little silver/grey on the engine, the third picture does fit in well with the rest of the design. I think the second is a compramise and imho it doesn't really work.

There is one clear and obvious mistake though THERE NOT HIGH'S

Number one for me too. It just looks right somehow.

I'm going to say number three, IMO with the headers being black it looks good to carry the colour through. Makes it a little more angry and sleek looking

I'm with Shandy on this one. It looks different and more 'grrrrrr' like with the black! :D

Another vote for number 3, black is the new black!

im going for number 1

what you cant see in the pictures are all the bolt heads which are also shiney
theres the clutch spring caps etc there is an amount of silver trim already on the bike and as such #1 is the way forwards imo

In my head I designed it with number three (all black) in mind. It looked brilliant in there, so I desperately wanted it to look the best in reality. I'm not so sure it does though. I think there needs to be a visual termination, much in the same way as the headlamp. I actually tried making the entire headlamp black, and it just didn't work at all for the same reason.

Finally got rid of them...and man did I take a hit on them. Bought in June for £565, sold 8 months later for £250! I could have saved on the postage and just shoved them up my ar*e myself :chuckle:

Pic 2 Niall

THe shiney bit on pic one where the header meets the can looks out of place but pic 2 looks just right - carries the black through and caps it off with a nice shiney end cap to give a little focus on the pipes
