Yup, Go look at shandy's thread about how his is going back together then get yourself out to meet some of the other guys at one of the weekend meets. A bit of a laugh with the monster owners and a bit of inspiration from off here and you will be going again in no time

go borrow a Monster and take it for a spin, that'll refresh the good memories and get you going again!

Jerry,

If you're still living in Thailand at the moment, stop smoking "da weed" and pull your finger out man!! Lots of fresh fruit and vegetables and less of the alcohol and lady-boys. That should give you some energy back. :mand:

Hope this helps.

Its not all bad mate. You live in one of the most amazing countries on earth. If you don't cheer up, I'll be forced to come and visit!! Actually I may just do that anyway. :mand:

That's my 900 at Rosso Corse today. Ray sorted out some of the bodges from the previous owner and fitted a nice shiney DID gold chain, sprockets, brake pads, belts & tank clip. The ride home was rather interesting, I'm sure I was riding a different bike!

Spring is coming and all you'll need is the first sight of warm(ish) sunshine and clear day to get the bike back together and on the road :D

and if pictures of new bling don't help, just try to remember what a buzz it is riding the thing!

Oh the yoke.....

Oh that rear barke...

Prettier than ladyboys, more fun to ride ( I would imagine) and looks gorgeous...

My baby goes to Rosso Corse next Thursday for the 18k service and some new tyres and a general sort out - I've found riding in the recent weeks has made me once again remember that I love the bike and I find such a grin from it - life has been pretty tough of late but the bike always makes me a happier camper than when I don't ride it - get on that bike!!!!:p :p :p

well i got one of the heads on the table to fit the new rockers , then calculate all the shims and fit them, this is complex painstaking work, (yes i have a complete shim kit) then i gotta do the other head , then refit them and the barrels after plugging the rear oil gallery ,then fit new belts etc, radiator hoses etc etc etc ,new chain sprockets , the clocks atc refill and reassemble the forks
retune it with my technoresearchsoftware , then maybe I can ride it.

oh well 1 bit at a time , i got all the bits and tools just no get up and go.

I made a start but once I got the new rockers in I will have to remeasure everyshim and dismantle again to replace all as 8 new openers = all new virgin calculations its a bastard job.

hope to have the heads done before i leave for YUK maybe more but i doubt it.

It was brilliant last year. Except I'd broken my arm so couldn't ride. But still worth a weekend of drunken debauchery (or a pleasant chat if you prefer) with like minded people. :-)
