I have just booked my bike in for its MOT. I wanted it as early as possible on Monday morning so I can get it done on the way to work.
The chap says bring it in at 9:30 and "you will need to leave it for an hour".
"An hour?" I asked.
"Yeah, needs to be hooked up to a computer an' things".
Is this now true?
Does it take an hour for an MOT?

It doesn't take a whole hour, but because they have to do it 'on-line' hooked up to the DVLA computer, there are set times and patterns they must adhere to to show they've done a thorough job... (presumably based on a one-armed midget doing the test, knowing this government... x) The reality is the testing process barely takes any longer than it used to, but they have to leave the necessary gaps between the individual aspects of the test... the quickest you would get it is in about 40 minutes now...

Enjoy your coffee...

Thanks Jen.
I told my boss I'd be a little late in on Monday because I was having an MOT done on the way.:fou:
I will know better next time. I'll email him and let him know I may be out most of the morning.
