View Full Version : Sunday 11th March - Sussex/Surrey Monthly Box Hill meet

Greetings fellow Sussexites,

It's about time we got our regular monthly meet back up and running. We managed it in March last year (just about the only month it didn't rain!), so hopefully we can manage it this year.

The plan is to meet up with the Surreyites at Box Hill at 11.30, for a cuppa and a natter, then a ride out to somewhere nice for lunch.

If there are any takers, let me know, and I'll organise a meet point in Sussex so we can ride up together.

Roll on the sunshine!

Saz

Oh hail! new Sussex rep! - congrates etc etc.

Looks like I might have to dig around in the mothballs and get ol' smeegal out for a run then... (actually I lie, I spent the afternoon servicing the beast - and it fired up on the button after nearly 6 months tucked up nice and warm!)

Thank you, thank you.

Don't worry, Smeegal and Piglet will still be at the front. I get scared if I'm not following someone!

OK peeps, the weather forecast isn't looking too bad for Sunday, so it would be nice to get a crowd out.

If anyone wants to ride up from Sussex with us, let me know. We can either meet at Bury Hill or Washington roundabout (A24), and then pick anyone up along the way (A29 route to Dorking).

Anyone?

Are you meeting in the pub on the A29 for lunch? where you had xmas dinner?

I've got to be in Washington for a meeting first thing, but can get away about 11.30-12 which means i can at least come on the lunch bit :)

I'm still banned from photography missions at the moment (bloody doctors!) until my eye heals! So I could be found wandering around lost in Box Hill car park on Sunday :D

I hope to be there as not had a play since excel show. I hoping I can encourage a fellow worker if he could come along with his new purchase of a red s4r which he got from snells. He comes from hampshire side. Hope some more Kenties come along too.

Hurrah! Looks like we might get a few out.

Mel, I think we will head for the Cricketer's at Wisborough Green. It's not the one on the A29. I'm sure you've been there before - let me know if you can't remember where it is. I'll aim to get us there about 1-1.30. I'll PM you my mobile in case plans change.

Rob, we can pick you up somewhere on route to Box Hill if you like. We'll be heading up the A29, so let me know where's good for you. Maybe that layby just before the A29 crosses the A281?

Tone, we can meet you at Bury Hill if you want - do you know where that is? Let me know, and we'll arrange a time.

I've booked the weather, and it's all looking good. The only thing I need to sort out is Dixxie's MOT, which was supposed to be last weekend but her battery was so flat she couldn't make it - doh! Still, there's always the Honda....

yeah great Ped, and anyone else who wants to meet at bury and go straight to pub if they've not gone on ride out earlier, Sazza reckons about 1-1.30 at the pub, so if we meet at 12 or so at bury, then we can ride to meet the rest of the group at the pub. wahey...

Hi Rob,

Best make it Bury Hill, as I don't know for sure which route we'll take yet. I'm sure you'll find us at some point if you don't make it there in time.
