Looking to buy a set of the soft panniers for my bike.
I've seen a couple of photo's of the ones I'm after and this is a previous post by someone selling theirs.

I can't bring myself to pay the £200 from the dealers, so if anyone has some their selling please let me know.
Thanks.

Instead of those, I'd recommend Oxford Sports (http://www.infinitymotorcycles.com/product.asp?ProductID=48&ProductName=Oxford%20Sports%20Panniers).

You can often get them for £60-70 at Infinity and shops on the net, but even at full price, they're half the price of the DP ones, and twice the capacity. If you want to see them in action on a 695, I can swing by.

That's a kind offer thanks but no need for you to do that mate.
Price wise that looks about right to me but with twice the capacity don't they stick out too much ? The Ducati ones, being slimmer, hold more of the bike shape.
How have you found them to use ?

I've got these too... excellent bit of kit, and no they don't stick out much, no further than a pillions knees would be.

When not full, zips allow for width compression too and they are pretty waterproof, also come with rain covers (although rarely needed) and they often come top of tests.

Cool, thanks for the feedback Darry.

I've crashed with those and they're just a bit scuffed, so nice sturdy bags. I think they're about 20cm wide, unless stuffed full and expanded (they've got an expandable zip).

Hi J.P.,

It was me that bought the very ones you've linked to on ebay, although the vendor had accidentally fitted them back-to-front on his bike!

I'm delighted with them, and they're very good for my purposes, but be aware that due to the design (an L-shaped cut-out to clear the indicators) they WON'T easily hold A4 documents without bending a corner or two. Also, they're not really usable with a pillion.

Let me know by PM if you need any more info on them.

Martin

Thanks everyone. Just to end the thread, I bought a set of the Oxford sort Panniers off ebay because they were so much cheaper than the Ducati ones.
Roll-on the weekender.
