1/16th scale radio controlled Tiger tank.
As bought:-

After ripping it apart, repainting it the correct Panzer grey and rebuilding it with many metal parts including suspension arms, wheels and tracks. Also a little 'battle damage' and weathering. Still a little work to be finished off in places tho'. :-

I'm now building a U.S. Sherman tank in the same scale, so when I have a BBQ this summer, us boys will have some stuff to play with.

They're not pink Gary, the rust colour has just come out in the photo like that for some reason.

Not bad at all Didge. Amazing what you retired people manage to do with all your spare time. ;)

That is very, very cool. I've got my dad's 1/16th MK3 Chieftain in pieces in the loft. Not radio controlled, but uses a cable instead. You've inspired me to convert it. Maybe an elastic band actuated 120mm cannon? How about a battle?

Paint pilot before assembly.

New addition to Didge's expanding armour collection. (Toys  ).
Sherman tank with 9 cylinder radial engine sounds etc, etc.:)
Weathering still to do, but other than that, it's finished, so I'll have to find something else to pass wet winter days.
Will my garden become a warzone come summer BBQ time?

I'm still trying to build the meccano helicopter we bought for tother halfs stepson. It's tiny compared to those beauties, and apparantly the rotors go round cos it's got a solar panel to drive them, haven't got that far yet. would have bigger toys to play with, ones that ought to go vroom vroom well I would have if his nibs hadn't started pulling her apart, there's not room for two in the garage.

Yo Didge, whoever drives the panzer must be heard to call out regularly, "Achtung, Shpitfire!"
