I didn't go to the NEC because Ducati weren't there. I was planning to go to Excel in Feb with a couple of chums. Would be a weekend though.

benson

It must be a London thing... nothing for ages, then two come along together!

Seriously though, two shows separated by a few days and a few miles? I can see few people benefiting here, as any trader at one isn't likely to want to do the other.

I plan on going to the ExCel show (much easier to get to), and as Rachel says, it will have the full range of Ducati's... and maybe I can bend someone's ear about dropping the baby Numpty from the range :hissy:

Au contraire mon frere, If you've had to travel several hundred miles or more to do the show, going straight from one to the other without going home is great.

I will be going to that it's on my door step.

It really is on my doorstep, I can see the neon sign from my window.

Oh all this talk of the big smoke. Maybe I can combine a trip to Excel with some shopping, some people watching and some continental coffee. Sounds divine.

Will be no budget to buy stuff, but going to these things on the bike always prevents shoppoing anyway!

Of Ispwich ????

I was born in London and lived there before Ipswich Miles.

I miss the theatre, the restaurants, the shops, the transport system (Yes, ye who live there may moan but here, the last bus goes by the pub at 9pm!!!!), the anonymity and the opportunities. However I do not miss, the pollution, the crime rate, the lack of decent state schools or the ratio of nutcases to normal folk, actually, scrub that last bit. It's not so different here.

9pm - WOW - the last bus past our place from town is 6.20pm, but fortunately the pub is walking distance :booze:

The tickets are £13 each in advance and £16 on the door - there's 10% off for a group booking of ten or more - If there are enough of us I don't ind getting the tickets as long as I get the money back or do you want to do your own tickets? I know - £1.30 is only half a pint of saving...Just a thought...

Count me in for this one. I usually go to the bike shows with a biker friend of mine who has just hit the big 60 and according to the web site can now go for just £6. Just waiting for him to come back to me. I am converting him from Honda to Monster ownership. Its taking a while but I think I am making good progress. Perhaps a multi monster influence could finally cast out the Honda demons.

I'm also quite excited about this event as well as the Tideswell weekender - yes - bit like Christmas really!!!

well i hope you guys enjoy it, i must say if i'd have paid full price to get there and full price entry i'd be most disappointed. the Ducati stand was good, but there was only them, ktm and bmw. Not much else, and great floor space to walk around on, where were all the trade shows? a handful were there, couple of t shirts, the tool shop, not even a neck warmer stand, how odd and how empty.

It was nice to see the super motard and the tricolour 1098 though :)

I got there bout 12, and lots of people were already leaving and sayin, not worth £16.00, so i guess the move to excel not as good as alipali was and shouldn't have moved it.

I went with 12 people, if you go in groups of 4, you get on the train for over a £5. return, and it was only 10.50 entry to show fee as we pre-booked that amount of people, so it was only a good day cos it didn't cost much and we went to chinatown afterwards for a chinese buffet which was lovely before catching 7.20pm train home.
