Dammit, can't view photobucket at work! Thanks for sending me a few by email Joo, I'll just have to wait 'til I get home to view the rest.

By the way, is that a dead animal of some sort attached to the front of your bike?

I'm just impressed that Jen didn't sell Julie for 50 camels. We were worried....

Actually i'm glad i saw this thread...

I did think the house had been a bit quiet for the last couple of weeks but i knew if i waited long enough an explanation would appear on the internet (with photos).

I think we're due another meeting of the UKMOC offroad section at Robht's back yard (Salisbury plain).

Is that intrepid enough? Unexploded bombs are a bit more dangerous than camels, you know.

Is this the same Julie that I met about 4 years ago at Cotes Mill that was nervous about going round corners????
Now blasting round the Sahara on dirt bikes...whats next then the DAKAR! Or Jen and Julie doing TV shows!
I was talking with Charlie Boorman at Pid****s last week about his experiences in the desert...had no idea you were there at the time...looks brilliant, great pics and a rangey sport to play with as well!
Good on you both!

Part of the deal was that the trip is to be featured in a couple of magazines, so I can't say too much before publication, but I'll write up a brief report in the next few days...

You both look great out there - looks like good fun.

Watching Charley Boorman last night on his Dakar thing and seeing you in these pics really makes me want to learn to ride off road.

Which mags do you think will pick the story up - want to make sure I get at least one of them

I've precious little time at the moment to get on the site and my Monster is currently being used as a winter hack by a mate who's rice burner is knackered.
The other thing that is taking up all my time is planning and working on my new years project!
I am off on boxing day on the Plymouth to Dakar Rally doing it in a 16yr old VW Golf bought for £100,we go down through Morocco and into the Sahara in the new year for 4 days! end up in the Gambia after hopefully catching some of the Paris -Dakar at the finish
Seeing your pictures just make me want to stuff everything in the car and leave tomorrow.
Fantastic!

Blimey Julie - if you remember my concern at the size of ladybird's bits then imagine what you'd get with beetles the size of eggs - off to hide under the covers.

The trip looks amazing - bloomin fantastic...great photos too...

I'm a bit johnny-come-lately (or robin-come-lately) to this thread...
Anyway, Stunning pictures, a far cry from wet, muddy england, how intrepid are you two! Looking forward to hearing about (and reading about) your trip.

I reckon Landrover and KTM have got some great new pics for their advertising.

Absolutely! I was out on Salisbury plain yesterday and found myself on the Anti-Tank range - fortunately it was saturday so they were all out on the town...
Saw a bloke on a BM GS 1200 - off road, now that is dangerous...
