Gotta Strip Again

Hi All

after my Monster seizing I found out that it was the generator nut that came undone,top tip if yours seizes first check to see if you can get left hand engine cover off, if you can't good chance you won't need to take pistons apart.

Any how, put mine all back together and took it to the nice chaps at Moto Rapido who did the nut up for me with a windy gun.

Got home and put cases on, oil in and all the other bits, hit the starter and, CLICK,DoH!:grump:

So I've now gotta take the case off again and inspect the starting gear, so nuts coming off again.Oh well not much on telly these days anyway.

Both the solenoid and starter click when I press start button, does this sound like they are ok?

Shouldn't be as charged it up the other day in anticipation of starting it, but will check.

Only thing against it being that is it made the same noise by the side of the road after it just seized, but could be coincidence?

Me again,that and when we tried to bump it the back wheel just locked solid no matter what gear we tried it in.

Well, got home and tried jump starting bike but no luck so removed engine case and spins fine.

Looking at crank would appear is well bent so am on hunt for a replacement engine,I think Rich may have known what the outcome was likely to be so ta for the post.

Will try here first though to see if can pick up a cheaper one as funds are tight.
