While fitting new ignition pickups on AnnTs M600 (95), I noticed she has aluminium spacers fitted between the inside of the stand bracket and the crankcase. Does anyone know if this is only a 600 thing? My '93 M900 doesn't have them - I have sometimes thought it leans quite far over on the stand but put it own to the longer shock. The parts books for the early models are not on the net, so would be glad to hear from anyone who can get a look at a parts book or who has stripped the stand off their 'bike.

My 900 also has no spacers but the 600 may need them if the cases are a little narrower. I think you can find a workshop manual on the net, don't have the link here but can post when I get home later

I think you will find that quite a few Monsters lean over a long way. I was so worried about the lean angle of my S4 that I welded a 1/2" turned disc underneath the existing stand and painted it with Hammerite. Problem now solved and you would be amazed how many other Monsters I have noticed since with similar mods.

Lo Madhatter, any chance of posting a photo of your mod, as my monnie is leaning like it's pissed. :booze: Wolfey

my 900 has the spacers. Narrow ones on the LHS thicker ones on the RHS.
but then... mine is a bit of a hybrid (900 in 600 frame)
and the bike leans more than the 600 did..
