Insurance scam?

It occurred to me recently (OK I'm a bit slow I know) that because I had the common sense to fit R & G crash bungs to the frame & front forks, my bike wasn't as badly damaged as it might have been in my prang earlier this year. The radiator and clutch cover would certainly have been amongst the casualties otherwise. The point being that I saved my insurance company from paying out even more than they did. So why don't I get a discount on my premiums to recognise the fact huh?

Did you declare them, they may not pay out as classed as accessories......

After having 2 total losses this year both which crash bungs would have been useless all I can say is cross your fingers and hope for the best when you submit you claim, then get the info together to explain why they need to give you the true replacement value not their accessors idea of replacement values.
