Hi everyone,

Does anybody fancy meeting up and having a ride over t'hills to Yorkshire?

I'm thinking of stopping off at Squire's near Leeds for a brew and meet up with any Yorkshire members that are about, and then maybe go to Whitby or somewhere.

I'm going to leave home about 9.... get to Squires about 10... and be back home before 5pm.

What do you reckon?

Any takers?

This is all subject to the weather of course!

you could make your way over to Skegness?
Is that too far?

Hi Mand

I thought about it but I think it might be a bit too far. I need to be back by 5 for the kids. I'll see what Autoroute says but I don't think I'll be able to make it.

That's a shame but I know about the "getting back for the kids" lark. Not so much for me now though, as my mini adults fend for themselves now.

Another time eh? Maybe we can pull our fingers out and organise an Manky/Midlands meet again.

We'll definitely have to organise another one!

Hi Tigerlily,

Can't make this one unfortunately, my eldest, Richard Namduke, is heading off to university that weekend, and yes, I'm the taxi service! He's off to Imperial Colleage:booze: , London, to begin an MEng in Aeronautical Engineering.....he's wanting to eventually become a F1 aerodynamicist!

One good point.....he's in direct contact with Ferrari, so close to Bologna for parts for us guys from the Ducati factory!!

Have a good run anyway!!

Regards,
Mark Nambduke

Typical isn't it, my timing is bobbins :banghead: , i'll be trying not to break some bones at the Yamaha off road school with some pals on Sunday.

Brain and elbows out, 1st into the 1st corner takes the money :fou: .

Will be at the Red Lion Wed evening though.

See you all soon.
Steve.

Shame you cant make it Steve :(

Be careful when you're out, I know someone who had a horrific accident a few months back doing the same thing. Remember to keep your bones inside your skin!

Scotty

what about the numberplate light?

errm it doesnt have one :look:

a numberplate light is not a legal requirment on a motorbike (at this time)
so will still pass an mot without one

Tigerlily
30-09-2006, 07:28 PM
Tony....

Motrax do a little number plate light for about £15 which I think sticks to the top of your plate. One of those might be ok for you?

I do quite fancy some of those lights Scotty - but I've just spent my spare pennies for this month! I might get one next month though :mand:

Forgot to say....

I'm going to check the weather for tomorrow..... here's hoping it's half decent!

WEATHER FOR TOMMORROW

Well it looks like sunshine/showers between Manchester and Leeds but it's looking warsmish and dry for Whitby!

Good enough for me!

See you all tomorrow between 10 and 11 at Squire's or the Whistlestop in Whitby about 12.30 ish!!! :mand:

Tigerlily

Home safe and sound, not to mention a bit cold and wet! I was worth it though :mand:

I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and got back OK!
Sorry if the going was a bit slow but it's not worth trying to pass things in that kind of weather and I prefer to keep the group together as much as possible too.

Bloody good turnout too! Especially considering the weather!
Lets see if I can remember everyone!

Yep was a nice rideout despite the weather, nice n sunny coming home though. Was good to meet some of you I havent met before.

Thanks for organising it Julie, would be good if we could do a few more rideouts, maybe next year if not this.

Tigerlily
01-10-2006, 09:07 PM
Glad you enjoyed it Andy, and I'm certainly going to organise a few more rides!

I think we were 'lucky' with the weather....it could have been far worse, it least the rain stopped now and then!

I can't believe how damn dirty my bike is though  .... job for the kids tomorrow I think! They love 'playing' with soapy water and sponges :mand:

May I just add my thanks Julie as well.

Great ride and nice tootle with a great group.

Journey back was decidedly copperless....... After the frenzie of filth on the way to whitby.

By the way all there was supposed to be some sort of protest at RAF fylingdales which explains the number of rozzers.....

Tigerlily
01-10-2006, 09:50 PM
A protest? That explains it then!

I thought they'd been spying on my thread and were waiting for us! :chuckle:

Glad you enjoyed it Nick, I hope your mate (Ian?)did too..... I'm lousy with names!

I'll give you a shout when I organise something else :mand:
