Hello guys...
I ve got a Monster 600 model 1999, and i messed up with the timing.
How come?
I tried to replace the gearchange lever spring which was broken, and i messed up with the timing.I removed the flywheel to have access to the gearchange lever, without marking it.
Also, i removed the timing gear and i did not mark it also.
So now, i cannot find the proper position to set both timing gear and flywheel.
So, as you can imagine, my Monster is messed up and she doesn't start.
Pleaee, any ideas to help me fix it, because the closest Ducati shop is more than 100 miles far from where i live, and it ios too difficult for me to there.
Any help will be appreciated very much!!!!
A desperate Ducati owner....

First of all welcome to the club :yoparty:

Sounds like you've had a bit of a nightmare with the bike, have a look at this site it contains the workshop manuals for download which may help a bit more with your problem,

http://www.duc.nu/manuals/

One of them has the detail of stripping and rebuilding the engine with all positions etc, i think its the larger of the two M600 workshop manuals.

Hope this helps a bit,

Cheers,

Shandy

The manuals are useful if you can get the right one. The links to the New Zealand site is very good. Best of luck....and welcome to the club!
