You should be fine with noisy cans in Holland. I have heard of roadside noise checks in Germany but these are really rare.

Just back from a long weekend in Holland. No problem at all with my noisy pipes. The police we passed (usually they had pulled a car over near roadworks or sat in rest areas watching traffic) just turned to look as we went by.

I just got back from WSBK at Assen, got pulled by the Dutch police on saturday for allegedly jumping a red light, then not carrying my papers, and then for wearing dark sunglasses.........................and I was riding a pushbike!!!!
Good to see they were ignoring all the proper bikes though!

I have never had any trouble in Holland, Germany or France!

They are just really looking out for people being stupid!

Wouldn't worry about it

In all my dealings with foreign coppers loud exhausts have been the least of their interests.

Last month the Italian coppers who stopped me, looked at my open Termis on the 996 and laughed when I said they were legal in Britain.

The dutch police will be more concerned with drink/drugged driving ;)
