My Diablo Corsas come pre-lettered! (in yellow though)

I really thought that there would be more people for it then against, as most of the Monsters that i've seen lately have had it done.

I thought they looked pretty cool, but then I remember doing it to my mark 1 fiesta some 15 years ago and getting laughed at by my friends

I bought one of those Tyre Art pens and did mine some years back. Call me a chav but frankly I don't give a monkey's. Anything to enhance what is after all a very dull and uninteresting part of a bike. It used to be de-riguer on factory bikes running Pilot Michelins just to enhance the product on TV. (thinking back to Foggy on his 916SPS). Blatant advertising perhaps. In any case you can always wipe it off with some white spirit if you don't like it, so what's the problem?

It's no worse than having some crappy decals made up for your belly pan to echo some outdated sponsors on a competition bike you may have seen flogging around the track. That's really yesterday thinking. Each to their own though and if that floats your boat then so be it.

I don't mind lettering on a tyre. Done it meself a few times. It depends really on the lettering style that's on the tyre really.
It's something that's been done for decades, long before the chavs were around.

White lettering = pure chav, agreed;

but GOLD lettering = SHEER CLASS! This is because most bikes have some gold on them somewhere, so gold tyre lettering continues this subtle (?) theme and enhances the overall appearance. After all, what could be more boring than a plain black tyre??

my Monster 900 has gold-lettered Battlax BT010s, my Guzzi V65 Lario has gold-lettered Metzeler Lazertecs, and my 612cc R.E.Bullet has gold-lettered Avon Roadrunners - and they all look better for it!

And on the eighthtthh day the good lord said thusly: "Thou shalt place no foreign muck upon thy tyres for that is the way to iniquitous road of the spawn of CHAV."

Need we say more?

I wouldn't have it, but if you do, yellow best by far, or gold even better, white just looks tacky

Go for it, I've been meaning to do my Bridgestone's B's for ages but there are so many letters I'm too lazy but I think they look quality when you do, my Monster gets more looks from Chavs than from anyone else these days anyway so I might as well play to a partisan crowd.

I stopped doing this when I stopped having Avon Road Runners.

Used to look good on my old wetdream......... But the sidewalls were a bit bigger then.
