Well, I leave Blighty at Ramsgate with six other bikers tomorrow at Dawn. We plan to ride through to France and collect some of the french division, before meeting up later that night at the Belgium contingents clubhouse in Charleroi. Here there will be lots of refreshment going on for the remainder of the night. The next day we leave for Wenden in Germany for a big rally/festival, where there will be lots more refreshment opportunity. We also plan to travel the next day to Oudenberg, where we are booked into the infamous Groenedijk "Bikers Hotel".

I have the European and UK numbers for Ducati Insurance, I have the same for my AA European Breakdown Recovery (£30 for 5 days). I've got all my documentation with me, lots of Euro-beer-tokens, so hopefully I've covered all the bases.:D

See you Beds n Bucks folks when I get back, if I don't end up in some prison cell.

What an absolutely blinding time!! Managed to cover all the places that we wanted to visit from Oostend, through to Waterloo and Charleroi. The Biker party was one of the best I have been to, even as the "special guest", and please rest assured that I certainly had much, much, more than a few drinks for you guys!! :booze: Somewhat fragile we then scorched across Belgium and through germany to get to the festival in Wenden, where there must have been 200,000 people, all partying at the same time, fantastic atmosphere and a beer stall every 20 feet!!:booze: We rode almost 300 miles to get to the infamous Groenedijk "Bikers Hotel", where you ride your bike in and park it outside your room. They had a live band on that night with many, many, more glasses of 8% Belgium beer being consumed...and there were two other UKMOC members there, as soon as I saw the red monster with the shoehorned 748 engine, I knew who to look for! The Ferry back was significantly delayed as a trucker got stuck half on and half off, so they had to get the other ferry to come round with the "B-Crew", who must have loaded the boat wrong, because it did the whole 4 & 1/2 hours at 35 degrees, which in high wind and rain meant it was rocking mega-bad from almost vertical back up to 35 degrees. People were sprewing everywhere, it almost was enough to put me off my Goulash, which I had to keep pushing back up as it slid down the table and fork the gravy back up the plate to stop it running off, 950 miles later I got home around mid-night.

Dry out my leathers and bring on the next trip!!:chuckle:

Good to see you guys at the Motorcycle Loft Hotel. We got back OK in quite good weather. Off to the V Twin in two weeks.

All the best

Riding across Europe is just soooo Cool!!!

Rebel and I left home at 2:30am on Saturday for Dover, where we met up with eight other Bikers. A short jaunt across the channel and into Calais. We rode across France and down into Belgium for our first stop at Charleroi. Continuing down and across to the German border we arrived at the "MCP JETS" Bike Rally. Tent up, Bikes locked, let the Begium beer drinking begin..:drunk:...we made it untill gone midnight, winning the "largest club with most Km travelled trophy", before fatigue took a tighter grip and we had to hit the sleeping bags (almost 24hrs). Up the next morning we took the backroads across Belgium to arrive at Oostende and the Groenedijk "Bikers Hotel", where you ride your bike in and park it outside your room. A nice hot meal and many more glasses of 8% Belgium beer were consumed..:drunk:...The next morning, after a monster breakfast, we rode into Oostende for the complsory "Belgium Chocolate" shopping. Then had to blast across country to Calais (oops running a bit late :eyepopping: ) at highly illegal French speeds to make our Ferry, with Rebel doing some pretty impressive counter-steering, throwing her 750 "Rossi-style" into the long sweeping bends towards the ferry teminal. A nice trip back, we arrived home around 9:00pm on Monday night, 700 miles later. Both Ducati's never missed a beat! :yoparty:
