View Full Version : M900 Ignition Fuse Blowing

Hi
Wondering if anyone experienced this problem.
My M900 (1994) is blowing fuses when ridden hard or
on bumpy roads. It is always the Ignition Fuse and
immediately replacing the Fuse is not causing the Fuse to blow
again until the next jolt. IE it is not a full-time short-cicuit.
I suspect a faulty connection/earth or maybe a short-circuit in
the harness somewhere on the Ignition Circuit.
Preliminary checks have shown no obvious source.

Any useful input appreciated.

Thanks

Hi DrD,

Not sure if this will help as I haven't got a schematic for the M900. But this happened on my 620Sie... The ignition, rear light (not brake), headlight (not passing flasher) and the number plate light are all on the same circuit (15A Fuse). Mine also blew intermittently, and I tracked it down to the Number plate light, the +- wires had been squashed into each other. Couldn't believe that Ducati design a bike that stops working because of a dodgy number plate light!!

Someone on here will probably have a schematic of the electrics for a M900.
Good Luck.

Darry.
