Hi All

am slightly concerned of Andover, that when I roll off the throttle there is sometimes a strange graunching noise that comes from somwehere on the offside.

At first I thought, and hoped, it was the chain, obv wrong side. Then I hoped it was the front brake, again wrong side.

I first noticed it after I'd trekked up to the GP,about 400 miles round trip.

I've also checked and changed oil and also belt tension, so wondered if you kind people maybe able to offer suggestions?

Ta muchly for your help.

Cheers
Stuart

Try checking
front wheel bearing,
rear wheel bearings (more likely) when under power its loaded up -
front or rear pads worn out
mine was when the pin holding the rear pads in became dislodged and the pads dropped down onto the rear disc carrier and gouged it up a treat

Thanks for that,I shall check.

May just be coincidence but on MOT last week the guy said the front pads were looking like the edge had been caught on something.

Cheers

Hi
went home last night and checked bearings which seemed ok,then checked the pads.Would appear that they were slightly grongled when being put in so cleaned the dges up and ride this morning seems to have cured noise so ta for that, fingers crossed is ok on way home.
Ta once again
Cheers
