Hi there, I'm looking for some new timing belts for my bike. Part number is 73710051A......... I think!?

Can any1 please point me in the right direction for the cheapest place.

Your local dealer is a good choice. It's not the kind of item you want to buy from an 'unknown' source. Either way it wont set you back more than 20 quid incl. postage.

Dukes are supposed to be expensive, sometimes people take advantage of it. No way you should pay that, you don't even know the origin...and trust me, you don't want the belts to be of poor quality and snap on you.
Your local dealer shouldn't charge more than half of that. Otherwise call Snells in Alton, that's where I got mine.

The belts on some of the later 2V motors are dearer. Best thing is to ring a few dealers for a comparison, but make sure you have the frame number to hand. Ducati's often sit around in warehouses & showrooms for some time before getting registered, so just quoting a model/registration year isn't enough for most to pin down spares - they need VIN number to confirm exact year of manufacture and model.

The 2001 dark belts are the same as the other 600 belts, as said, around £12 a belt from your ducati dealer. 900 belts are dearer, more like £22 each.
