Ok . . so this is my new baby :thumbsup: The tank has obviously been re-sprayed but not very well. I'd love to have it redone and replace the Ducati decals but not if it means a second mortgage !!

Can anyone recommend a painter who's reasonable?

No, but you can get nice decals from classic transfers. do a search on the forum, i have their catalogue scanned somewhere.

Oh, and btw, if you respray your tank, i'd recommend reenforcing the hinge at the same time (a little silver brazing aorund the hinge plate.)
They eventually crack and leak petrol. i had two done.
bought a silver brazing sample kit for £8 and used a small blowtorch..make sure the tank is well clean from petrol though !
You dont want to be doing this with a nice custom paint job on the tank.
