anyone know of cheap car insurance for someone who has only been a named driver, young (26) and broke as a broke thing.
neeeeed advice or the bike has to come off the road and i really don't wana do that.
thanks y'all
Could you insure it for 1 month only, then get 12 months insurance in Aug/Sept.
If not, Norwich union we're very reasonable for me..... or Tesco car insurance.

Try Bell Direct on 0870 549 2000, they have allways been kind to me on previous hat hatchs and the dull thing i drive now. Also if you increase your volentary excesses a bit the old premium comes down even more.
Hope this helps,

I just insured both out cars with ecarinsurance, the car bit of ebikeinsurance. One car was with a broker and the other was with Directline. In all we saved 350 between the two cars, with lower excesses on both.
They are easy to use.

Car - Churchill, Directline or Tesco. These were the best for me what with all my speeding convictions, young age and 2 write-offs.
Bike - Ducati Insurance or Carole Nash. Ducati have always quoted me the best and they have various ways of paying ie. in 1 go, over 2 months, 3 months...upto 6 months. Carole Nash were the next best to quote.
I believe Carole Nash insure both car and bike along with Norwich Union.

Hiya Guys
I work for Confused.Com, and I think we are by far the cheapest and most reputable insurance aggregator.
We haven't got bike insurance on our panel yet, but thats coming in the next few months.
In the meantime, for bike, try www.thebikeinsurer.co.uk
Really quite a good aggregator...
Cheers

What's an aggregator? Is that like the traditional broker where they shop around and supposedly get you the best deal, whilst really recommending the one that gives them the best commission. Are they really cheaper than going direct to someone like Directline.

Confused.com give you the list of insurers in price order leaving you to choose who you go with.

We get the same price from every insurer.
We get paid if you purchase a premium with them.
So you enter your details onto our site, we search all the other sites (about 98% of the online market) enter your details in for you, and bring a price back.
We then show you all the prices, so you can pick the best for you.
If you buy one, we get paid.
We aint in nobodies pocket, and we're completely independant. So we won't screw you over basically!
Hope i've sold it enough!
