I need the following for my Monster 600 year 1999. I guess those parts can be found on other models as well...

- 1 oil filter like that:

- [GOT IT] 1 ignition relay like that:

- [GOT IT] 1 pair of stuff which I have no idea of the name like that:

Thanks in advance for your help...

Hi Tonio, you can get the things you don't know the name of (they're known as rose joints on the monster, or Tie Rod ends generally) from a company called BSL which has branches all over the UK, look them up. The part you need is called a JAM 10, should cost you about £14 each.

The filter gauze isn't too much from your local dealer. I cleaned mine and decided to dry it with a heat gun......DURRRRRRR!!! Oh looks, it's melted....

I seem to recall a new one was about £20.

As for the relay - do you need a replacement, or could you clean the contacts on the one you have?

cheers,

Nik

Cheers guys.
Zimbo, thanks for the name, now I know what I'm looking for, Ebay should do the rest. I think the closer BSL for me is Guildford, still too far for that ;)

Same problem with the local dealer Nik, I don't have a local dealer :D

What's weird with the relay is that when I open it, I can't find any mark of damage, nothing is burned, broken... don't understand.

I know it may sound obvious - but have you metered the loom (with ignition on) to make sure you have a voltage at the relay?

Pro Twins in Godstone are very helpful.

The problem comes from the relay, I'm sure at 100%, I swaped it with the race bike's one...

Fair enough - new relay it is then. I get most of my bits mail order these days - Wood M/C's in Wales is one supplier I use. Good prices and usually quick delivery when parts are in stock.

RS or maplin will have this relay, it is a fairly standard part (around £9)

Thanks for the names guys, I should now find that relay quite easily.

I got in touch with a guy regarding the rose joints, he can sell them to me but he told me I will have to take the internal leeve off (by pressing it) and to replace it in the new rose joint. Any idea how difficult that can be? I've got only standard tools (hammers and screwdrivers :D ) and I can already imagine how ugly will the sleeve be when I will have tried to extract it :D

I managed to swap mine with standard tools and had no problems, that's road bike and race bike x 2

I clearly didn't manage to di it :D

But as an excuse, they're all rusty and already broken in some places (that's not me). Looks like I need to source those sleeves as well :(

Update: found the rose joints on Ebay, bought them from McGillMotorsports for £4.5 each (including P&P). Don't know if it's a good deal, but I'm impressed by the service... ordered them yesterday received them today.

Now I just need to find some 1mm thick copper pipe with an external diameter of 10mm to cut the sleeves I need. I should find that at my local DIY shop.

yep, 10mm copper used to be standard, but can still be found.
