Eonan,

what model ducati are the forks off - are they from a monster?

I think the 160 & 175mm (over 6 inches) you quote as fork diameter is well out. They are usually around 50(ish)mm ?

Gary...I know how to use a feckin' tape measure eh :fou: :chuckle:

They came off a '98 ST2, but are not original ST2 forks...the general consensus is they are 900SS's...even better forks seemingly.

In it's own right it's quite nice...on the bike though I thought it looked just a little too fussy...shame.

Thanks for the additional info mate - did you ever offer them up to the monster front end for fit?

We bought them from a guy on eBay who took them off a ’98 ST2. Knowing that the ST2 forks would fit straight on to this monster, we bought them.

Turns out they’re about an inch shorter than the stock forks on this monster, every other dimension is perfect…175mm circumference tubes etc. The general consensus from folks that know about these things, is that they are not stock ’98 ST2 forks, but in actual fact from a 900SS. Supposedly much better forks, but of no bloody use to us!

I called the guy who sold them to me…seemed a pretty decent bloke, who I do believe took them from a ’98 ST2, and hence genuinely believed that they were ST2 forks.

Theoretically I’m entitled to a refund, as he advertised them as being ST2 forks, but that would involve me having to be a complete pr*ck about it.

I’m just hoping that someone will want them…they’re in really great condition so even at the asking price they’ll be getting a good buy.

Are you sure.:eyepopping: :eyepopping: There frickin big then. Diameter is the diagonal across the Section. Radius is from outside to centre and seems to me you are measuring the cicumferance. All the way around the outside surface. OOH its a Gully moment. And ye I know how to use a tape as Im a toolmaker.

Hi Roberto...sorry, just saw this post this morning. Well...it's basically going to be the first one that comes along at the right price.

I've narrowed the 748 down a bit though, to a 2001/2002 R os S in yellow. The 916 I'm open to all that come along.

Er...or a Speed Triple
