Was looking through the brochure for the new classic Dukes, and spotted the mirrors on the Sport1000 which come out the ends of the handlebars. These look really cool, better than the usual bar-end mirrors (imo).

Has anyone thought of putting some on a Monster?

yes, you are referring to the usual bar-end mirrors. I think these are cool though, very retro...and I think with better rear view...cute and small often does not work...indeed I had some DP mirrors and changed back to the mickey mouse ones in the interests of safety.

apologies singletrack, I have seen the mirrors you are referring to - they are better than the ones I was talking about, but I still prefer the sport classics...more vision I think...

I have right cheapo bar end mirrors on mine but I have them below rather than above the bars. No mirror crashing on the filtering and I ride through London rush hour every day. Takes a wee bit to get used to looking in the right place and they are not great because they are cheap and flat rather than convex but I reckon the Ducati will be neither cheap nor flat. Give it a go I say. Looks way better and if your not in town pop them above the bars.

I rode said bike at Mallory - the look cool and give a decent view, but they're crap to adjust. They seemed a bit flimsy too. Might be worth having a sit on a Sport Classic at your local dealer and seeing what you think first.

cheers,
