What do i get for second place then???

I'm please with how mine turned out although i want to get a slightly smaller number plate and maybe different indicators not sure at the moment need to keep looking round, i can't see the point in chopping bits of frame off an already good looking bike.

I'm thinking of a name for my bike too at the mo, thought about naming it after my ex but 'psycho bunny boilers' a bit of a mouth full :mand:

Cheers,

Shandy

Shandy if your after a plate, used this place loads of times, good prices/quality, and shipped to your door next day.

http://www.design-a-cover.com/

will be getting one from there when i sort ma a.end.. 7x5 normally never been pulled for it, nice size, normally ask them to keep the font style same as legal plates just small enough to fit on the plate, like i say never had a tug for it.

Cheers for that Roberto nice site, the size of number plate bothers me for some reason......i feel the need for another thread in my waters to gauge opinons on this.

Mines a £6 B&Q Aluminium section bracket and Number Plate holder neat and easy to make. Used standard indicators at first then a Pair of Crap HeineGerik indicators which meant a few mods so need to make a new pair to tidy it up under the seat. 75mm shorter termis and slightly smaller plate 8x7??ish with a corner removed to clear the old long termis. A pair of Moutain Bike Bar end plugs to fininsh it off.

Hey Youre local you can borrow my Hacksaw....go on do it:mand:

lol, well if I end up needing to shorten some cans I know the man too call on :mand: deffo not got the bottle to do that, even tho not got my cans yet. (another decission still to be made)

chop have the bottle but undecided yet..

Stef's post from that angle looked good for a non chop, not 100% sold on the indis but does look good.

If a mod could move the debate posts from the other thread to this one would be good, or am i being really really anal with the thought of having a clean thread of loads of chopntail options for future stickyness?? prolly answers on a postcard plz...

Just thought those type of stickie threads, can be kewl for monster noobies asking the same questions.. like i've just done ;)

could have one for each type of common mod, easier to wade through than pages upon pages of all us lot waffleing thats what this ones for :p

Rob (gona get :fiery: 'ed no doubt hehe)

Warzone? eh?

I am simply replying to inaccurate information/critisms that others have posted in that thread... it's no help to anyone if the information published on this forum is not correct.

ps. As regards my own product - at the end of the day, I've invested a lot of money in getting those kits produced, and endeavor to answer any questions (and correct any inaccuracies) about them... x

Sorry Jen, I wasn't slating your kit. Oh no no no!!! The only problem I had with it, and as I said it was to do with my mechanical ineptitude, is that the mounting bracket for the high level cans has spacers in it to sit them at the right height. With these in I couldn't get the standard number plate holder to fit. And when I took the spacers out, I still couldn't get it to fit. You'll notice on one of the pictures I posted, that I do indeed have the jMo Tail Chop kit in place and the only reason I took it off is because the LED light that I'd fitted broke half way up the A1M (so I had no rear lights a all!). I stopped at Bladerunners house and he had the alternative round LED lights in his garage. So we did a swap. I also gave him my standard rear light. So sorry if you took offence at my statement in the other thread but none was intended and I'll sweep your garage for a week as penance!!

Phil (feeling very sorry and hanging his head in shame)

I'm not sure it would make a lot of sense though Roberto? - on the whole that thread is a series of options (as you suggested), some of which people have expressed their own opinions to (which is going to happen if you are asking for recommendations), with the odd inaccuracy corrected...

The problem with making any thread like that a sticky is eventually the info becomes out of date - there is a search facility on this website, together with a FAQ section, but on the whole newbies tend to post up their own specific question anyway, and get any number of replies... yes many of the answers will be the same, but most people are happy to help out with advice and it allows for updates as new products/ideas become available?

ps. I consider myself good friends with Phil, and agree, my intial response is a bit of banter - however at the same time it has important information for anyone considering one of those kits...

Not at all - no offence taken fella - I understood what you meant (and I trust you took my ribbing in good humour also x), it's just to someone new reading that, they might have got the wrong impression about the kit, and I just wanted to point out that it was not the kit's fault (you said as much anyway)...

That's the thing with 'publishing' incorrect or deflaminatory info on a public forum, and as those who have been on here a while will agree, it's my little bug bare... ahem x

points taken, and v.true probably be out of date in no time, the whole idea of spliting it into 2 threads, 1 for options the other for discussion maybe wasnt the best one.

Never mind im full of useless ideas me :dizzy: :mand:

Thanks tho for the options posted so far, its good to see installs, helps me make my mind up no end.

Anyone want to vote for or against the led bulbs and the clear tail light lens? i have a 620 dark and i think it would look pretty trick once my seat cowl arrives chopping that ass and fitting the clear taillight with leds!

i thought i should also ask about the indicators... are they included in the tail chop package? what are the options? i am a n00b here so i am sure that this has been answered before but as the search function yeilds so many threads and i don't have a cut lunch and billy tea with me i will just ask again! lol
Also i have low mount cans, that i have chopped as of yesterday and cored them whilst i was at it! very easy and sounds friggin loud!!!! love it LOL just thought i would add that to the general area of this thread!
any info still appreciated
cheers

I'll find out the shipping costs to AUS and let you know - I don't have paypal, but might be able to sort something out there, otherwise some kind of international money order? - the kit price is £39.99 UK stirling, plus postage.

As for indicators - have a look at the images below - personally I'd recommend the Clear Alternatives LED unit (with built in indicators), although the Kellermann/tiny cator also works very well if you prefer seperate indicators...
