So i took the plunge and got a Duke...........just not quite a monster but we're all Ducati fans here right??? lol. SS750 but imported to its all in K's, not the end of the world but the clocks arn't very easy to read. Bascially i'd like her in MPH. I'm wondering the best way to do it? I'm sure the gearing will only differ in the actual clocks so do you lot reckon its just a straight swop? Also the milage. Obviously i don't want to fiddle it, well i do, just to what the actual milage is now on a potential new set of clocks, Can that be done?
Then theres the 'incorrect milage accusations when you come to sell. Could i get a dealer to do this and verfiy the work?
Any help would be appricated.

Regards Luke

Alternatively...just mark the important mphs on the plastic cover of the face. We all know kms are better anyway.

Yeah i've done that. Just doesn't look good and its difficult to to get it right on the KPH's clock because its closer together.

why bother just use the km clocks, its easy enough to convert km to miles in your head

30mph = 50kph
50mph = 80kph
60mph = 100kph
75mph = 125kph
100mph = 160kph
120mph = 200kph

and that is probably more accurate than the speedo is anyway

and when you get to ride in Europe it makes it a whole lot easier

Hiya,

My clocks are in KPH but all I did was to fit one of those Mecanical Kilometer Converter things on the back of the clock and screwed the cable in to it. I bought mine 2nd hand for £10 but don't think they're too bad at £29 new.

get a second hand mph speedo fitted write down the mileage when fitted and keep the old kph clock for when you sell it . mots ect will prove everything is above board. if your lucky you may find one that is close to the mileage you have on the kph clock .
