does anyone know the colour code or an equivalent for the frame of a 98 m900 - it's the gold(ish) one - or do the dealers sell aftermarket touch up paint ?? thanks

I just bought some silver frame paint from www_bike-paint_co_uk on ebay and to be honest it's probably the best matching touch-up paint I have ever bought, could just be luck though.

For the past 6 months I’ve been on the same quest. I’ve got the same ’98 gold frame, and so far tried 4 different paints claiming to be the exact match. One from Germany, one from the US and two from the UK. The closest was the one from eBay…probably the one that you mention tommo. It’s not perfect by a long shot, but miles closer than the others.
I no longer have the bottle, but if you do a search, they're the only one on there

I knew I'd seen it somewhere here - a man who knows stuff (perhaps too much stuff) and who is no longer here (a long story) recommends Halfreuds Rover gold. Here's a copy of the thread --> http://www.ukmonster.co.uk/monster/showthread.php?t=9594&highlight=rover

Yes........i'm going through the same at the moment :banghead: i think the best part is where they don't actually seem to do anything either, all i'm doing at the moment is phoning people chivying them up to make sure there on it!!!!
goner have mine powdercoated black next year
Was thinking of getting mine done too but probably not black, depend how confident i'm feeling about taking it all to pieces to get it done.
Cheers,

Yep, I'm with you two...far too much hassle, so next winter I'm just going to get the bloody thing powder coated. Gold is so last year anyway ;)

Hi
I need to touch-up my gold frame on my 1999 Monster and asked Ducati for the correct match. (Gold Ducati # GE22-9510 - produced by BASF)
They got back to me and suggested I contact BASF and ask for a sample. I did but never received a reply !!! I've heard Vauxhall Champagne Gold is close.
