View Full Version : Repairing carbon fibre parts??

After crashing the S4 recently I now have a number of carbon fibre bits which are scuffed or cracked. As it costs lots to replace these bits I would rather try and repair first the not too damaged ones but the question is how to?

The carbon parts are:

1. rear seat cowl - has a small crack in the middle of the part - its almost unoticeable unless you point it out but will the crack just propogate if left? also the LHS fixing to the frame has come off (where the metal plate is moulded in to the weave) can this some how be reattached? magic glue or bonding agent??? it does not matter if the fix is not pretty as its not seen.
2. Small crack in the front mud guard. Same question as per the cowl above.
3. Radiator cowl badly scuffed (this is what saved the metal radiator from being ground way) - it looks bad but can it be saved or should this be a new buy given it is in a prominent position and always on show.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks
