Left work yesterday only to find that someone has damaged every panel on my passenger side and dented the front door in
Looks like they've reversed in, hit the front bumper, carried on regardless all the way down to the rear panel; so that's 5 panels trashed :cens:
Just went and checked CCTV at work and that particular camera has been broken for 3 months and awaiting MY department, yes MY department to fix it - the relevant people got a mouthful off me this morning and funny enough Intruder are coming out this afternoon to fix
Excess on my car is £500!

Sorry to here what has happened... the damage can be fixed its just the hell of sorting it all out which is annoying..
Have you checked if it was a lorry doing a delivery... I had one a few years ago that reversed into my wifes car, shunted it by 2 metres causing £400 worth of damage to boot..
Best bit was they had just delivered a fridge freezer to our house, and only just after they left a neigbour who saw the whole thing came over and gave us the shocking news. I gave the transport depot manager from where it came some merry hell plus the manager of the shop where we bought the item.. There were 2 blokes in the cab... so no excuse.

Looks like Bladerunner is gonna sort it out for me to save going through insurance
I wouldn't of minded if they'd knocked the bumper and driven off as I've scuffed the front of that myself anyway but to carry on all the way down the car without realising and then f***ing off without leaving a note of apology just pi$$es me off :cens:  :banghead:

I regularly drive a 44foot artic as part of my job and its very easy to hit a car whilst manouvering and not even know you have done it. about two years ago, I hooked the back of a trailer under a cars wheel arch and dragged it about 15 foot and didnt feel a thing.
Im not trying to make excuses but I kinnda hope thats what happened and not some arse ole just driving off knowing they have damaged someones car which deserves the death penalty.
Sorry to hear of your damage chappers hope you get it sorted soon

Jeez - that was either one huge rabbit or a very flimsy car?
Cars are expensive to fix now....someone dented the wind and scratched the bumper in a 5 mph crash in a petrol station on my (corsa SORRY)
He wanted to settle without involing insurance cost to me on the side £270!
Eventually bill to insurance through the company I work for over £1000
A think a litre of water based paint cost nearly £80 + laquer and labour, then just and parts and VAT!
Have you talked to your insurance im sure there is some scheme we all pay into as part of our premium ,for such problems that allows you to get it repaired FOC if you cant find the driver and you are not at fault.

Yeah you should have seen the size of the b*stard he just laughed and hopped away!!!
No it's a Lotus Exige and the front clam is fibreglass. A good proportion of the cost is respraying the front end and colour-matching it to the rear! Not to mention the main dealer labour rates:eek:

Never heard of it  Coppers told me not to contact insurance company unless I was making a claim as they still make a note on my file that the car has been damaged although not claiming through them and effects my premium next year

Yup. One of the Insurance bodies (not the companies) does this. It used to be just for personal injury though - but I do have a vague recollection that this was changed to include damage a few years back. Worth investigating Hayley, they have a website, I just can't remember what they are called...
