Fingers crossed !!!

Spent 3 hrs fitting new rearsets and prepping the S4RS last night ....hungry and tired when I finished but still excited.

Just a couple of jobs on the 888 still to do. Ran the engine on Sunday for the first time Nat.....it sounds wonderful to my ears:D

See you on Thursday !

If you can get the day off and get to Mallory Park with £115 in your skyrocket you can scream the nuts off your bike round the track for the day. Or you could just turn up and spectate if you don't want to pay the money. There's loads of monsters going and not everyone is participating.

Oooo I am dead excited and it looks like the weather will be kind too.

I was there on Sunday watching the BSB which was brilliant so I will be following the lines of Senor Lavilla :mand:

I'm excited in a feel-a-bit-sick kind of way! I bought my bike to work for the first time ever (lots of roundabouts - and an MOT round the corner). Realised I'm worse than I thought, then decided I didn't care anyway!

See you in slo-mo...

Jill

(PS Put standard cans back for MOT today, they sound RUBBISH! Termis going back on tonight, then DP Carbon Remus for the road. I never thought I'd own a bike that needed three sets of cans!)

Typical Mand....looking for the advantage !

Gets in first for the tiramasu...learns the lines at Mallory from a top pro.

Well I think excitement is the right word.... Nervous would probably be closer.
I always vowed I would never track my bike and what do you know... Thursday is nearly here. Just done the obligatory check over and everything seems tight, oh and cleaned the bloody chain wax off my back wheel as well.
Just one question really. What is it going to be like for a total newb like me, both to tracks and the club? Not met anyone from here before.....

Don't worry. I think there are quite a few first timers going on this one from what i've read. Don't forget to say hello. Just go at your own pace and don't try to show off because there will always be some who is faster.

Just go at your own pace and don't try to show off because there will always be some who is faster.

And slower! I was probably the slowest in the intermediate group 2 years ago (well, someone had to be), and it was so much fun! I found the whole thing really liberating - no mirrors, no oncoming traffic, and no potholes. Fantastic!

Coming to watch this year. See you all later!

Yep, "tension" about sums up the prospect of tomorrow's trackday. Don't know why really but what the hey! I'll just have to concentrate on some comprehensive relaxation at the circuit pub tonight (and I don't mean yoga in the carpark).

Looking forward to meeting lots of you, most for the first time. Feel free to come over and point out which direction the track goes and remind me about the Ashes.

Cheers,
Geoff

Right then. In preperation for tomorrow I've just been going through the check list, licence, bike, helemt, money.... you get the jist.

Anyway I've just realised.... NO bloody tape :cens: . Well no gaffa tape anyway.

Will electrical tape do the job or has it got to be gaffa?

If it's gaffa only.... anyone got some I can borrow?

You can have it back when I'm done :mand:

Unfortunately I won't be there..... I can't leave home until late and I'd have to leave early to come back. It would have been lovely to see everyone again but it's a long way to go when I'll only be there for a couple of hours.

Have a great day everyone!

Mand... We'll see you about those discs at the MAD weekend
