LOL! And everyone saying "that GT, he's so sauve" - recommend you wear dinner jacket at all times, whilst supping on dry martini...
Seriously though, never mind the MAD weekend, get yerself off to Calais for a booze cruise, you'll get loads on there! The look from the customs officers would be priceless!

certainly big enough GT. Does look like a wing. Very handy for trackday picking up bodies. :mand: :mand:
Good job fella. Blows MilesB's into the weeds.
Go on... fit a hooge top-box with built-in speakers like a Goldwing...

Thanks for all the comments peeps - it might not be streamlined but it is practical ;) It's also very quickly detachable as it's only held on by 4 bolts and takes about 5 minutes to fit/remove, so the trike can be quickly returned to sporting trim
The rack is actually from a quad bike & blagged on ebay for £40, but needed a fair bit of cutting, re-welding and additional brackets added to make it fit.
It took a few evenings pondering in the garage to suss it out, as I got a bit carried away with the angle grinder while in 'chop mode' leaving little to fix the rack to :dunce: I eventually hit on the idea of tack welding a couple of M10 nuts together, which (after grinding the corners off) were welded into the cut ends of the seat rails. This is where the 2 large bolts in the 1st picture thread into, and is the main attachment point for rack. The other support comes from the 1/2" square tube 'H' frame I welded up, and this bolts between the rack and rear subframe.
The rack was a bit bendy until I added the 'H' brace, but really strong now. In fact I perched my full 10 1/2 stone on it and all that moved was the rear suspension - so think it'll cope with normal luggage ok :mand:

No problem - how does a nice little number in 50 x 50 x 6 angle & 1" dia tube sound... might help to keep the front end down? I don't do lightweight engineering (yet) :chuckle:

Have a gander at this lot - Smiffy drag races his trikes in the Straightliners series & doesn't hang around at all :eyepopping:
