sealed unit.

tho perhaps someone might have taken a set apart? - but I dont know of anyone who has done so successfully yet:(

lots have been replaced under warranty cos of misting (condensation) on all sizes of monsters or stress cracking (more likely on the bigger bikes from some reason)

good luck:)

Crack on my S4R also.
I have tried to cut the plastic and replace with antireflective lens but it is not very nice on the edge.
I end up bying a second end speedo from e-bay (900 I think) just to get the front bit. I will try to sell the speedo...

errr, we went through this last week (or the week before) on another thread about ECU's Laurent.

Unfortunately you cant use a 2nd hand set of clocks on a bike which has electronic clocks. Likewise, you cant use a 2nd hand ecu.
Both these items are uniquely programmed to the bike, via the red key.

Your keys are coded (including the red key) to those clocks on your bike.

Therefore, you can only replace the clocks with a brand new uncoded set, which aint cheap.
Just like you can only replace an ECU with an uncoded new one.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news for you.

He Guys

It is easy to remove the 2 front glass ! I kept my original speedo but just replace the front glass !

I have now a second hand speedo bought from e-bay without the glass

I hope that I'm clear enough but I'm french so a bit thick :banghead:

Laurent, the 2nd hand speedo WILL NOT work mate :(

see my post above.

Only the carbed bikes are able to have interchangeable clocks, as they are NOT 'key coded'
