Hi
Can anyone tell me what the runing temperature is on a s4r? Just ticking over today mine got to 104 methinks thats not right..im sure it was either 70 or 80 odd before. Also, dont know if this is related, there seems to be a slight hesitance when hitting the throttle in fact on a few occasions its actually completely cut out.Any ideas please?

On the S2R it is between 50 and 170 degrees C (normally around 102 I think)

Surely the gauge will read "HI" if it's too high

Sounds about right, mine is usually 65 to 75 whilst riding, will go up to 100/110 when left standing or in traffic, then the fans should come on!!

Hi
Thanks for the replies.Any idea of my other problem? If its ticking over and i suddenly jusr rev up..there sometimes a slight pause before it revs...or sometimes it just completely cuts out...not like its running out of petrol ..just cuts completely dead.Notice it when at lights too....about to set off and give it some..nearly dies or cuts out completely.
Ta in advance

Sounds like your idle mixture is too lean. Have you modded the bike in anyway like exhaust and or open air box?

Hi
Ive got after-matket cans on..i thought the ECU had a tolerance to cover this? Anyway changed the plugs and seems back to normal now.Obviously if it does it again the plugs are being fouled..which means..............??
