Benson

I'll 'ave a go - depending on the postman delivering bits of monster from around Europe and my boyfriend putting it all back together.

I really need to get some miles in before the track day.

Try this for maps: http://maps.google.co.uk/

N-E-V-E-R G-O-N-N-A H-A-P-P-E-N!!! I'm not even allowed to push it out of the garage!

I'm sure he'll be with me though; can't shake my minders! In fact, I might bring the minders anyway, if that's OK. I might have to if I don't have the Monster ready!

Benson, you don't mind a few miles do you?! I'll prob do the A12 too. The back roads are pretty rough up to Colchester.

Wednesday's my day off! If I get poor mashed up Odd-job back from Ray by then, I'll be there!

(I won't want the embarrassment of heading out there on the Bandit 650 I've got for the next week or so - who cares if it's fast, comfy and does more than 80 miles to a tank if the gearbox, brakes and throttle are made of moss?!)

If there's anyone around here that works weird hours like me, please speak up! It's annoying that I have to miss all the top meets because of working weekends... I usually get every Wednesday and every other Monday off.

I hope the weather stays fine for you all.

Leave it to the day if you wish Benson. If you can leave early the 'pretty route' may be best or happy to meet at the Fox at Rivenhall on the A12 if you are tight for time.

Just spoke to Ray at Rosso Corse again: he reckons I'll have Oddjob back by the beginning of next week! What's the pretty route? I've got loads of time that day...

Just an alternative from the A12. Through the back roads from Chelmsford to Heybridge Maldon, Tiptree, Colchester etc. Just take a glance at the map. Some lovely buildings and countryside.
Essex has a lot to offer and thankfully it's still a secret.

Benson,
It looks like I will not be able to get away too early on Wednesday myself.
Roughly what time do you think you will be along the A12?
I will PM my mobile number.

Just been checking diary, and I think I'll definately be there. I've never been to the meet, but my mate lives round the corner so i have a rough idea of where it is.

Any other Cambs heroes up for it?

Hi folks - if the weather is doing what it's doing then I doubt I'll be up for a 90 minute rde after work on Wednesday - I am beginning to think I need to grow webbed fingers at this rate!!! Meanwhile keep everything crossed for a decent revival of spring time!

Sorry folks - won't make tonight - have been called to a late meeting that won't end until 7.30 so it'd be dark by the time I get there!!!
Enjoy if you get there!!!!!

Due to the ongoing saga of exhaust, rear sets, broken brake switch etc, my bike is still in bits in the garage, so I can't make it today either.

Have fun if you can go.

See you at the next one...

Jill

Well I suppose the question is - did anyone make it??? I got in about 8 and by then the rain was so heavy I just wanted to get into a hot bath - I mean - is this May or Nopvember????:banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

IF the weather isn't too vile on Saturday I'll be heading to DWR for the open day but it is weather dependent - if anyone fancies coming too I'll be leaving lunchtime ish.....

Take care and here's to goretex,

Rachel

I looked at the weather and then decided that I couldn't justify going to Colchester when I'd then have another 2.5 hours on the bike to get to Leicester!! Maybe next time.

At the point I was leaving, and I couldn't hear the bike running over the noise of the rain hitting the garage roof, I decided (call me a lightweight) that I didn't want to go anymore!

No didn't go either, had a bit of a sulk and then went to watch The Da Vinci Code. It's an ok movie.

Lets hope the weather sorts itself out for next week!
