The speedo cable broke in April, the bike has done approx 100 miles since then.
This bike has never been raced (although it would be perfect for the Desmo Due series), it has been ridden happily and loved and polished and cared for and
SERVICED once a year.
Service at Italia Moto In Lincoln in 2004 and Corner speed Nottingham in 2005 (call neil at cornerspeed to confirm the good condition of this bike) when it had new belts and new oil and it's valves and shims were checked.

This bike is beautiful and accessible and affordable and it could be yours for £1400.00

That's great news - enjoy the GS - I've got one of them and it's great - however, my legs won't stretch to the dakar but it's a great bike all the same - lots of fun too!!! ENJOY!!!!!:mand: :chuckle: :mand: :chuckle:

Good luck with the GS. See you on the f650.co.uk forum. There's a nice Dakar on there at the mo. Get the twin spark if your budget will stretch that far. Its a pity my legs won't fit the Dakar either. Still, the standard GS is a great bike. I love mine.

Cheers all!
I'm always a bit nervous about a sale until i have the actual money in my hand but, hopefully, i've sold her.

Rachel - is there any bike you don't have? (i'm just jealous, obviously)

Gilps - yes, i'll see you on there!

Kev - he's a mature guy (older than me, younger than you) who has just passed his test and was looking for a first bike with WOW factor. I do believe he might have found one!

I'm looking forward to finding a reasonably priced Dakar to fling my spangly leg over, hurrah! (You're not getting rid of me though, i'll just be parking in the naughty corner)

Well...I have three - beacuse they get lonely - and my bank manager is nice and Sainsbury's loans are affordable and I don't want to die in credit - and if I had kids they'd cost shed loads of money and bikes are generally better in my opinion....There - totally justified in my obsession - maybe that's it - OCD for bikes????

The BMW is a great bike Ruth - you'll love it.....Twin spark is better for sure and the heated grips too - really made a difference to the past two winters ~I can tell you!!!!!
