Can anyone recommend a form of protection for the fork legs on a bike. Already picked up some stone chips on mine and was going to apply some tecnosel clear patches to the front of each leg, but wondered if there were any other options?

Obviously you are going too fast on that new bike !!!!!

I have just sourced a full 50mm system for mine so I expect to punch holes in the fork legs shortly after it is fitted :chuckle:

Phil, where did you get your system from in the end? I was quoted £1262 inc VAT from Pro Twins. Has not arrived yet as they appear to be as rare as rocking horse sh*t. Still should be worth the wait. Have given up on the ZARD system now which is a shame as it was my preferred choice but it wont be available until next year, so I have sold out to Mr Termi & Gnoni...AGAIN!! Once they arrive I have to have them polished (naturally) then sent up here, as I am having them fitted at the local dealer. Mind you one of our cars has just set me back a fortune in repairs, so it looks as if I might have to bin the idea entirely until I can afford them

Awwwwww........

Tell you what babe...in a bid to lose the weight I gained over the Winter months, I'll stop eating and you can put the money aside for them dear.

Well Rod I managed to get them from that stalwart of the club Stuart at Spareshack who managed to relieve me of a good wad of readies as I also ordered some black cyclecat rearsets (having the red spacer changed !)

I will have the exhaust kit tomorrow ....the pipes will be polished ASAP and then fitted immediately after the first service on the 22nd. Can't wait !

Make your own... Bit of plastic tube, jublie clip, breathable garden fabric stuff...

Nic idea but it's the legs I want to protect and not the stanchions, plus I don't want it to be an obvious mod. I think I am resigned to the trusty sheet of tecnosel plastic again.

No just protecting my investment mate. Like your ingenuity though. Not sure I would want to employ the same solution on my bike but each to their own.
