Hi all, I was contacted by a chap from Germany after I bought some Termi cans, and he was selling something that looked like impants or bungs to go in the end of the cans.

Its pretty clear from the ad that he suggests that they are to reduce the noise, but my question is does anyone have any experience or knowledge of these bungs? If they do reduce the niose im not convinced that its a good idea to go stuffing things up your exhaust to restrict the flow. Any ideas?

Cheers, James

Here is a translation from babelfish (pretty useful that):

Ideally for the application on the racing course, or for driving in the city, since itself the noise level clearly reduced and the optics orients itself very strongly at the standard plant. The employments are from aluminum with a diameter of approx.. 47.5 mm and thus very easily. They fit into each jacket pocket, so that one can lead the parts comfortably with itself and with control possibly still the chance gets with the absorbed sound home to drive to be able and the moped does not have to leave on the spot.

The best is contrary to many other solutions that no drillings at the exhaust are to be made, since the employments with the final tubing inner wall become "strutted". The attachment effected exclusively through pivot a grubscrew the remaining clearance of approx.. 0.2 mm between railway killers and final tubing inner wall to 0 reduces. I.e. with dismantled railway killer no ugly drillings at the exhaust are to be seen, which fall immediately with many other railway killers in the eye and do not serve with a later sales of the pots surely the worth stop!

To the scope of supply belong two employments from ALUMINUM , grubscrews and a suitable Allen key each. Who rather conventionally holes to bore would like must the suitable screws and nuts/mothers in the building market add itself.

I drive these employments themselves on my 998 S with a Termignoni plant.

Due to some inquiries: Also possible the employments without the "strutting mechanism" are to be received, which however then naturally to the consequence have that again a hole must be bored into the final pot around the employments to bolt. Supply takes place then only with drilling, without assembly material. Please during the purchase completion simply indicate the desired variant. If no special variant is wished, we dispatch automatically the variant for strutting!

Not sure if they are cheaper Pedro,I'm sure DB killers are about £12 per can,or maybe I bought ours too long ago.
