OK my reluctant monsterers....seeing as we managed a truly magnificent 8 at Sarfend yesterday :woot: and about the same number at the most recent Itlaian Night :yoparty: then I'm hoping for 9 or maybe even more at the Italian Day at the Ace on Sunday May 7th.

So - sign up sign up and let's go all Italian and venture round the North Circ like we mean business...or something.....:look:

There seem to be a few too monsters around here at the moment!!!

I'm round to the east of the Ace - happy to meet up and all ride in together though!

I think it is possibly going to the longest week for me at work, I am so looking forward to Arrow Mill!

I would think we will be coming from the M1 - that is the way I came to the Ace last time and we diced with death along the North Circular. I am a bit lost when it comes to all things London though. Like you say, we can come up with a cunning plan at the weekend.

Maybe we could pick up some waifs and strays on the way down?

benson
23-04-2006, 07:42 PM
Hurrah!:yoparty: We'll be heading along on the Saturday to the Mill cos I won't get to escape work until at least 6 on Friday and the idea of battling cross country after that isn't all that appealing somehow!!!

Anyway - here's to the time flying and having a great time just like previous years....:woot:

JMo

There will be an advance on Londinium via the southern ramparts too... a few Sussexites/Surreyites and even a few Hampsters perhaps (plus a stray Midlander x)

We'll aim to get there between 11.30 and midday...

Great to hear that JMo - looking forward to catching up ith everyone at the weekend. :drunk:

By then I hope I won't be covering any more wet miles - or that I had some waterproofs that actually are!!!

If I carry on at this rate I'll be buying Ronseal and painting myself a lovely teak brown...

Please PM me if you want to meet up to ride in - I propose Stadium Harley Davidson in Chingford at 10.30 so be there for about 11.

Stadium is easily found - it's off the north circ at the Walthamstow dog track/Billet Roundabout exit ride past Sainsbury's and it's on your right - can't miss it - I'll be there if anyone PMs me and wants to meet up.

Which way are you coming? I don't mind riding over the M1 to meet you all if you prefer to head down that way or we can meet at Junc 17 again and head up the A40?

Had a look on the weather forecast, heavy rain for tomorrow, lighter rain Sunday. Mind you according to the weather it's raining in Rickmansworth but all I can see if blue sky! I'm not that bothered about rain, especially if I'm riding Leigh's S4!

Not sure on route at the mo. Will let you know though.

Aiming to be at Stadium for 11 - will happily meet anyone else over this side...

Meanwhile the forecast says it should be raining here too but it isn't!

There'll be two of us coming from Central London, me on my 695 and a friend on his 620 (both red), so look out for us (we look like Laurel and Hardy). Can't stay for long, as last day before my mate has a shoulder operation and will be out of action for a couple of months, so we'll be heading out to see exactly how much better my bike is... :D

I know what you saying, just don't fancy riding nearly 100 miles to the Ace in the rain. I have old creaky bones!

If we decide to come (hopefully we will!), we will be coming down the A5 and we can meet you at the Hockcliffe roundabout place if you like and you can take charge from there?

I hope to see you there at some point, with a couple of non-monster riding mates in tow. However, as has already been mentioned it depends on weather.

Wouldn't class myself as a fair weather jockey, but not into getting soaked for tha sake of it either TBH. I'm sure the overal turnout at the ACE would dwindle rapidly should the weather decide not to play ball, so I'm going to wait and see ;)

Looks like the weather might be a bit better than today - sadly I am monsterless - after thinking the beastie was ready to roll it's developed a mystery illness - called running rougher than a badgers arse. Ray is hnunting for a cure...SO - I'll be on either some German lump or an American lump - pretending that it's Italian!!!

Well that was good fun and I actually caught a bit of sun!

Good to see so many monsters and familiar faces. Shame the Ace couldnt organise the car park so that the Italian bikes got first choice over parking and the jap crap was made to park outside, couldn't believe they wouldnt let Gary's trike in, it was one of the best bikes there even if it did have 3 wheels!

Had a great ride home following StuartG and friend back up the A41, frightened a few car drivers on the way home too!

And as for the Wizard of Oz bike, what can I say..... :gay: I'm sure some pictures will follow!

Hello all - I won't try and do names cos I'll miss someone out so anyway - thanks for another good day!

Really nice to see the familiar faces again as well as a few others whose bikes were well and truly carded before we left!

Well dont the Kent mob for crossing the river and meeting up at Stadium :mand: - so nice to have some folks to ride round the north circ with! Bob I loved the singing - I could hear you above all the termis, sils and everything else - you have a gift my friend! :chuckle: :chuckle: Thanks too for the tatoo - it will be proudly added to my collection.

Hope everyone got home safe and dry - I was really impressed with the number of monsters out there today - even if I was on a ditch pump!!! The guys I was chatting with at the end had come specially from Guernsey - and lovely blokes they were too - one had 8 bikes and the other had 5 - and all Italian!!!!! Well done I say - that makes me sound like a minimalist!!!

Top day all in all - hope to see you all soon

Meanwhile that bike - :on: :on: :on: Emily "i'm a lady" howard wouldn't have anything on that!!!:gay: - I was however concerned that the ginghams didn't match between paint work and seat - which could indicate that the owner wasn't really gay - I mean - any self respecting gay man would surely have sorted that out???:D

Top day at the ACE.... oh apart from the small matter of the trike not being admitted to the car park of course :Furious:

So......do we then walk in a bar and ask if your friend is a Wonka?:mand:

The biggest Wonkas I saw today were the pair on the gate in yellow bibs, and as Benson said - I'll be having a little chat with owner Mark on the cafes policy regarding trikes. Funny how they didn't have a problem letting several sidecar outfits in, despite the fact that my trike was supposedly too big?... oh and about 50+ non-italian bikes too despite the fact it was

SUPPOSED TO BE A FRIGGIN ITALIAN DAY!

Fuc*wits! :fiery:

Helloooo... so dwunk right now... :booze:

Just got home...(not on bike)

Had a great day with you guys/gals again.

GT can't believe they didn't let you in... next time ask them where their disabled bays are... sure it's the LAW!

Queen gpants who are you???? Defo need the dragon on the london badge... yes I know it's the city dragon, but so is the skyline... and besides it looks so much better than a HORSE (eh Albie :chuckle: )

Phil, great mini ride out/pub crawl after ace... and what a great parking space we found for the monsters... not sure if the girl would appreciate it though!! :D

Finally, Julie... great bike even though its a RAT... and yes I now agree, you are a loss to men folk everywhere... surely the coolest away team member I've ever met ;)

okay off to bed now..

Laters,
D.

Ps. When Members take pictures of me can they first tell me to take my hands off my hips!!!!:look:

Just realised we left Marky off the list. Had a quick chat when we arrived then lost sight of him - good to see you again mate!

I had a quick mid-afternoon tot up in the car park and counted 23 monsters, and 3 had just left so I think the total was 26. Possibly a few non UKMOCer bikes slipped in there somewhere? ;)

benson
08-05-2006, 07:37 AM
Excellent count up GT - I saw Marky too but then he disappeared! :(

ANYWAY - put the dates 9th and 10th September aside - the 9th is the Brighton Speed Trials which JMo has a hand in organising lunch and a ride over/round the Downs!!! I know she'll be posting something soon if not done already!!! That same evening - if the ride heads up to London we can go to the "Rockers Revenge" night at The Ace Cafe!

The next day is the Ace Cafe ride down to Brighton!!! I'll be posting a thread about it shortly so we can plan another horde of monsters.

I can feel a bit of a weekend theme coming on here!!!:flamed:  :flamed:

That so called piece of art Wizard bike is the most god awful thing I've seen in many a year.....

Must be worth all of half market value of a stocker.....

The artwork (and theme) was a little over the top I thort.

'Specially when I found out it was a blokes bike!

Oh well... each to his own I guess!

Ah, if they weren't the chaps from Gurnsey (with the trick numberplates), then one of them had an Aprillia Tuono and wanted Zorstec to do a similar exhaust for him I think...

It was funny, he said to me "there was a blue monster here last year with a very similiar exhaust..." "that was me" I said!

Less of the 'old'!! You're only 6 months behind me. Which might be a whole year behind in school years but still makes you an 'old' perv too!!

Be a pleasure to oblige Gary. We'll start with lesson 1. Subtle perving, and move onto more advanced techniques such as the blatant letch (as performed by Darry with true professionalism yesterday afternoon in Canary Wharf and not to be tried without an approved instructor present). There may be beer tokens required to bring you up to our level but I'm sure something can be arranged through "Big Dave", our finance manager. :mand:

If we run him down enough, he might sign up for one of our courses. Obviously we'll have to charge him double, I mean International student rates.
