Anyone out there? Anyone fancy a ride? A giggle?

Us (mainly me) am frequently found near chips, in norfolk, suffolk or essex. If anyone out there reading this fancies joining in, hooning it or a quiet bimble, just shout, PM or make yourself known in some way.

I can't be the only one.

neilbaldry

Nonnie
20-04-2006, 04:25 PM
Well, Neil, stick with us and you'll be sick of them by possibly early June! We might branch out a bit this year and explore baguettes!

neilbaldry
21-04-2006, 01:23 AM

Paranoid Dave

benson
23-04-2006, 09:21 PM

Bugger, that's my moonlighting job on "Jackanory" gone for a burden then. I do make sense of the stories in my head I just have the odd senior moment in piecing them all together and relaying them to others that's all. The men in white coats will be along shortly.

benson
25-04-2006, 08:29 PM
But the thing is Rod that we all understand you anyway - something to do with the beer???

Grumpy
27-04-2006, 09:33 PM
  howdy people, ive just joined, i live on the essex suffolk, although my monster is a wee bit sick at present(a miss fire which is being a pig to track down!). Is there a meeting ?

Nonnie
27-04-2006, 09:44 PM
I don't believe it!

Quick! PD!

Hi there, Paranoid Dave is the Suffolk rep and he might just make an effort now to hold a meet instead of gatecrashing mine! Wow!

We're all off to the annual UKMOC weekender this weekend but there is something planned for the weekend after, it's Ron Parkinsons open day in Colchester on the Saturday and Italian Day at the Ace Cafe in London on the Sunday. I couldn't say for sure if PD is attending these but some of the London lot most definitely are and you'd be made very welcome. Benson is the London rep and does a bit of Essex too.

Welcome and you'll be made very welcome if you do go. I'm up in Norfolk and we do a lot of stuff in Suffolk or on the borders too, there aren't many of us around these parts so we are quite good at getting together.

I hope you like chips!

Grumpy
27-04-2006, 09:52 PM

benson
27-04-2006, 10:08 PM

ta for the reply, where does the norfolk lot meet? one question missus, how did u know i have a chopper ?!!
Um, it's a long story but has to do with the aerial whisks, nothing more!

We meet up here in Narfuk mostly when some bugger posts up, mostly me, I never lead rides, I'm always last, we do damn exciting things like eat chips and find country roads to annoy the other folk here with. We are planning on eating our way around the coast this Summer.

Nonnie

Nonnie
27-04-2006, 10:28 PM
It involves the AA guide to roadside cafes and truck stops. We are cafe racing. Well, I'm cafe bimbling. Mines a latte.

benson
27-04-2006, 10:35 PM

benson
27-04-2006, 10:36 PM

benson
27-04-2006, 10:41 PM
So - that misfire you mentioned on the bike - how's it getting sorted?

Grumpy
27-04-2006, 10:52 PM
The misfire is a bit of a head scratcher, engine runs fine on tick over the minute the engine is revved missfires. Ive spoken to 2 different ducati dealers and they cant help, all they say is give them the bike and they will look at it. I spoke to ducatis tech guys today & the dont know either! Bum!
I should be able to get to Parkinsons on sat. the lattes are on me

Paranoid Dave
28-04-2006, 12:22 AM
HELLLOOOOOOOO

:hail:

So many questions, so little time. Erm parkinsons YES i'll be there, my bikes easy to spot, look for the one with the odd tail end. :D No i don't do any meets cos i was the only monster in suffolk on the forum that actually rode so i guess, yes i did hold suffolk meets, everytime i went out - and there was always a full turnout. :chuckle: Us lot round here don't tend to do 'meets' we just meet but i guess the mention of chips and coffee got that point home.
If you are stuck on the bike, give Carl a call in Harleston, let me know if you want the number. He's a ducati Guru, just tell him I sent ya.

See you next weekend.

neilbaldry
28-04-2006, 07:21 AM

Grumpy

neilbaldry
01-05-2006, 09:45 PM
PD, is carl the chap who used to work at Chris Clarkes?! i have a mate who kinda knows him, said he does all the duke servicing and stuff, with stamps (as hes still a qualified duke mechanic) but for alot less than a duke dealer.

is this the one and same bloke?!

benson
01-05-2006, 09:47 PM
I should be there in the afternoon too - all things being equal as I'm dropping the BMW off at Cannons on Friday night for its service then hoping it'll be ready on Saturday day time - all depends I suppose on how quickly they manage to sort it...

Paranoid Dave
01-05-2006, 10:01 PM
Yup thats him, he uses genuine ducati stuff and is fully trained. Top bloke.
I have my 18k service this week to look forward to.

Grumpy
10-05-2006, 10:34 PM
Howdy folks, sorry i did'nt get to parkys, work took longer than expected!. I've found out what is wrong with the s4, the ecu's fried!! Ive posted a note under the electrics portal part of the forum, but if any of you can help it would be gratefully received( chips are on me on the next run!)

benson
15-05-2006, 12:35 PM
Right then - for fear of putting the kiss of death on the event weather wise who fancies a run out to Great Bentley next Wedmesday? Burger van, lots of other bikes and a goodly few monsters perhaps??? Come on - you know you want to!!!!! It's between Clacton and Colchester - will find a map somewhere - Moley? Jill? BigNJ? PD?
