Just wondering, is it possible to pull a wheelie on an M600? Is there any evidence of this every being carried. I've even tried putting my 16 stone girlfriend on the back to try and get a bit of front end projection.........

Oi, a wheelie is a wheelie is a wheelie!!! :spin:

OK, alternative method, first gear, rolling along at 5 ish mph, pull in clutch, apply throttle, feed in maximum power with clutch, lift front, fall off.

Or, change it for a 900, they wheelie just by opening the throttle in 1st (and 2nd if they're tuned up a little ;) )

Or....

C90 rev'ed up in neutral then kick it in gear!! Gauranteed wheelie and arse/tarmac interface!

Zim, you're right about the 900 though, even with my lardy carcass on...

If you are going to wheelie an early monster don't bother it helps the engine drain of oil.... the newer ones are ok but the older ones it may screw your engine......

um, maybe i'm misunderstanding, but did that guy say 16 stone for his GF? what is a stone in lbs., for the ignorant american? if it is what i think it is, he's not likely to get anything off the ground unless she sits on a lever behind the bike. and then he's going to struggle to keep it on two wheels.

Zimbo - I dont think you have got the height that Andy had in the 2nd pic I posted (of the red 583 monster with fairings) :p :p

Ped, yes it was the mountain, but wheelies can still be attained like that on flat ground too :D - can show you at the w/end if you are coming to Box ;)

nhowroyd - yep, a 'maybe' - but hasnt happened yet, and both our bikes are having a hard life as race bikes, as the only way to ride them is at full chat on most of the tracks:)

Dreams are good! What's the point of living without dreams?

Does this constitute thread derailment???

Lardy lady at 224# unless of course she is tall or big boned. Still 16 stone should lighten up the front. :spin:

Just In case the Missus ever finds out about this thread.... She aint 16 stone, I was just elaborating, she's about 9 stone.......................... Just covering my back for the future, u know how women are about their weight! Still aint gotta wheelie pic of an actual M600 standard bike,(non race)

Jay, both of our bikes are std engined monsters etc mate - they just have fairings on for racing, as streamlining & protection thats all.
Otherwise they are both able to go back onto the road by adding lights, horn & number plates.
The 583 has an mot, and the 620 doesnt yet need one - both are also insured for us to road ride, though one is on a sorn at this moment

(you just have to look beyond the first skin, as your lady friends might say about you:p ) :D

I can get my front end up and mine is a standard 600 engine fitted with Keihin carbs and the bike has clip ons hence more weight over the front. You wont have any probs with a standard bike. As the man says slow rolling start, pull in clutch, increase revs and feed clutch in whilst increasing revs and practice. First time I did it on mine I s**t myself, shut the throttle off quickly and slammed my sensitive bits into the tank. Walked like John Wayne for half hour or so.

Theres a pick of me poppin' one off at Arrow Mill in the pics section of the site... i dont know how to post pics or i would have...

Ive wheelied my bmx, a 620, an ER5, VFR400's, a Thundercat and even a BMW R1200C Avante Garde (hahaha) and ive come to the following comclusion;

Anything can be wheelied in principle, and anything can be crashed using the same principle.

Hope youre all cool monster people... big shout out to my ukmoc posse
