Eh What??
:twak: No Mr.Nwhowroyd, I must say if the the Northeast where to go with that I,m afraid I would rather set fire to my monster than have that insult plastered all over it! :p
I'm from the 10 point side of the water you may have guessed-so I think we would at the very least need to steer well clear of anything football related.

Hi

I play Golf with a guy who works in a local shope that also does embroidery. Can I have the psd file too???

When we find out who is cheapest we can go from there.

Else for one or two t shirts there is always that guy in the White Rose??? :spin:

Hi All,

I'm embarassed to say I've failed on this sewing test!!

The local shop I thought would be able to do it looked at me as if I was stupid.....has any one else had any luck?

The best I can do myself is to get some of the iron on stuff and buy some white tee shirts! I just hate failing....yellow pages next!

Hi All

Finally got some prices on the UKMOC Yorkshire stuff:
Here goes all based on a min of 10 because of the embroidery set up costs :o(

Coloured, heavy weight t-shirt £15.75 +VAT each
Coloured, Polo shirts, Fruit of the Loom £18.75 +VAT each
Coloured, Full zip fleece, Fruit of the Loom £ 25.75 +VAT each

These are for Embroidered shirts/fleece complete in most colours. If we can get 15+ the price comes down a little....

What do you all think?????

nambduke
05-05-2006, 11:07 PM
Just had a colleague in our procurement department overhead me taking about embroidery.....yes I did get funny looks! Anyway, he suggested the following company www.tradeservicedirect.com

Naples Polo Shirt 1+ £17.95 - 5+ £6.45 - 25+ £5.95 - 50+ £5.50
All plus vat and delivery. Minimum order £50

Other clothing listed included Argyll Heavy Fleece at £22.95/£12.45/£11.95/£11.45 (quantities as above example)

Other stuff like sweatshirts, ladies oxford shirts, action trousers, baseball caps, t-shirts, bodywarmers....even a chefsware range for those exclusive BBQs.

Can you all look onto the site and see what you think.....this may be a good solution to all of the questions as the prices look good for quantities over 5....Anyway, in the meantime, I've fired off the brilliant logo 'nhowroyd' did for us to this company and let's see what comes back from them. Once I have a reply, I'll post the prices and we can take it from there...OK?

If the polo shirts are 100% cotton I'll take one (sometimes they're a poly-cotton mix, might be worth checking) I like the sound of a pair of 'action trousers' on the same site - as an old git, probably the only action I'm going to get!

I have also found an embroiders who will do 100% cotton Heavyweight Fruit of the loom Polo shirts from £8.05 + VAT if we order 12 or more.

Other items include

Hoodies from 10.60 (get yourself ejected from every shopping mall in the UK)

Fruit of the loom T'Shirts from 5.95

Fruit of the loom fleece from £16

Baseball cops from £6

Check them out http://www.whittakersembroidery.co.uk

I have put an order in for one shirt to see a tester............ Will let you know the outcome.

Long live the Yorkshire Massive!!!!!!!

nhowroyd,

Good call on a trial.

Happy to fork out upto a tenner for a quality polo shirt. If you think the quality is good when you receive your 'one off', I'm happy to put my name down for one. Also interested in a quality fleece.

Are you ok to take orders and deal direct for an on behalf of the crew??

The more we get:ukm: , the better the prices....can we start to compile a list of those wanting to purchase?

Just receive an email from the supplier I mentioned earlier:thumbsup: . Badge was described as excellent so well done nhowroyd!! No set up changes simply the prices I quoted earlier. I've asked for a sample and confirmation on prices, so maybe we have an alternative here guys!

Hi,

Further correspondence from the alternative supplier. They are very keen to provide polo shirts and they are now working up some prices and forwarding a sample. I've mentioned the various regional badges and I'm sure they could offer brilliant discounts if we all got our heads together - maybe???

Has anyone else had any success and are there any samples out there that I can compare against?

Just to gauge potential interest, can we start a list so the either NC35, nhowroyd or myself can push any order through whichever looks the best offer fro the various suppliers please??

Hi,

Just received an update from the supplier I've been in contact with. They are sending me a free sample:thumbsup: . If the quality is good, who would be interested? Prices dependant on quantities - see my previous thread. Only bit to sort out is postage and packaging, but that shouldn't be a fortune....One thought, I'll be able to take payments via Paypal for those who have access to that.

I'll update the forum when I get the sample...I should be able to drop some pics so everyone can see......

any chance of a picture so we can see what the badge looks like???

nambduke
20-08-2006, 05:24 PM
They didn't do the badge as they'd need to set up the machine to do the run. I'd be happy to have a punt, but that's just me! From what I've seen, most of the embroidery from anywhere is pretty good, even at the local company that does the various school badges, so suspect this outfit will be similar. Like I said, for less than a tenner (if we get an order of 5+ to a value of £50), I'd be happy to give it a punt.........

Any takers?

nambduke
23-08-2006, 09:13 PM
OK guys, that's 6 so far (including 2 for me)......

Any more takers out there? We need to get enough to get the price down and enough to get the supplier to give us the trade discount on orders over £50....we need to order at least 10 to get the prices quoted

So far...

nambduke 2
nhowroyd 2

Guys,

I apologise.....work seems to have taken over my life at the moment!!:dizzy:

I'll print out what everyone has requested and make up an order......is everyone ok with this?

I'll send everyone a PM to confirm size/colour etc

One thought, with the logo now modified, I suppose the badge needs changing now? Can someone send me a modified badge to send off to the suppliers?
