We had lunch in that fab pub The Rose and Crown I think right on the water on our way back from Heacham last year?! Remember? They opened up for us?! That's all I knows about the place but I'm sure we can find out some more.

Thinking of a venue from which to leave Norwich for those who want to meet up from here. Veloce is shut on Sundays I think. Any suggestions?
Looking forward to it though you mad Norfolk people you.

Come on, we need a suitable place to depart from Norwich.
I'm thinking just out of town, I'm thinking cafe, I'm thinking could someone suggest a suitable place?!
If not, I suggest Phil Goodes, opposite Veloce?

I know I'm in London Nonnie but I could meet you there and it would perhaps make you feel like you're not on your own in Norfolk?
I have come to the conclusion that it's a bit lonely on a monster at times!!!:on:
I know I just got back from the Ace Cafe and the Buell bash (I have test ridden the bike I SIMPLY HAVE TO HAVE..... - note insistent tone...) - I mean it's sunny and there's blue sky and apart from me there was just Madhatter the Bucks & Beds rep - what a lonely pair!!!
Never mind - I'll meet you anywhere!!!

I might well be coming across country for an ice cream too! If any of the Peeps from Beds and Bucks are interested in accompanying me, hopefully we can all make a bit of Vee-Twin Noise together.
By the by Benson, I'm only the Beds rep, Chappers was the Bucks rep, but stood down when she sold her bike. We have always had guys and girls from each others counties meeting up and socialising together, so we are almost like one larger county!
In the interim period I'm happy liaising between the two counties, but have no aspirations for complete "home counties domination" :D

p.s. If you are coming up on the Saturday, wanna meet Shirley in Ipswich and ride the last bit with her?

Hey Sidrat, I was thinking of leaving Norwich about midday, it's a Sunday maan take it easy. So it should take about an hour max which by my reckoning makes our ETA 1 (ish).
BTW, Emilys Driver still does not have his S4Rs, when he heard you were coming on yours, he went a very peculiar shade of green. So, no gloating now, d'ya hear?!
See you there then, you too Will. And Junks, Jim and the Madhatter. You can admire those heel guards now!

who me gloat!!, dont know the meaning of the word, mind you i did appear on that tv show trying to convince everyone that the S4r was the greatest bike in the world, its now been relegated to 2nd!
Just to whet Emilys Driver, here is a little picture, no, thats not someone trying to rob me, its my 18 year old nephew, who doesnt like being in pictures!

Sidrat - Very very nice bike - well done for buying the one with the red frame too!:spin:
Oh yes Nonnie - I am truly spectacularly ridiculously absent minded - indeed I am a staying with you.....:D but yes to the staged ride out!!!
If I'm coming to you I would be doing the M11 and then the A14 so will investigate to see if there is a suitable Shirley meeting place!!:D
Here's hoping we get the weather! I have certainly been through more than a few pairs of gloves in the wet weather today!!!

If I'm coming over I'll give you a shout and we can meet up on the way if you like. We can even ride side by side like "CHiPs" if you want! :D

Yes can do - as I've just sold the Monster I might now go shopping on Saturday for loads of expensive BMW stuff :D - but won't know for certain until Friday night. I assume that you will be going over to Veloce first? If so we could meet up at say the Swavesey Services on the A14, then head up to Norwich on the A14/A11. Alternatively could meet around Huntingdon and then head up the A141/A148 direct to Sheringham.

Hi peeps
If anyone is passing (by-passing) Thetford on the A11 let me know the timings and i can meet up and travel rest of the way to Norwich with you - or if its wet and cold drop in for a brew stop and a warm up (I live 1 mile (45 seconds) from the A11 / A134 roundabout just in the forest)
Best wishes

Thanks for rubbing it in Sidrat!! I am molto envious of you but with any luck I will get mine this side of Xmas. Not impressed with my dealer AT ALL. Best I don't go down that road or I think my blood will boil. See you at the weekend mate. Looks cool in white. Interested to see it in the flesh too. Have fun with the running in.

Oh stop stop stop!!!!!:on: I'm working really really hard - between here and the UKBEG that is... Actually I'll do the report in the middle of the night so that's not a problem...
I'm so so so so so tempted by the Buells. How do I hide it though??? Maybe if I sell the CBR and cover up the Buell no one will ever know and I can bribe you all to keep quiet!!!!!:D
Paranoid Dave

I am always and forever open to bribary. Money or sexual favours, i'm not fussy. :D
benson
04-04-2006, 07:18 PM
He he he - well I'm broke (or I will be if i go for the Buell!!!) so your choice is limited - you might just be sorry!!!
Anyway - I've given up and come home with the laptop so I can write my reports and surf at the same time and not feel guilty.....:D

Paranoid Dave
04-04-2006, 07:50 PM
on which bike ;)
Nonnie
04-04-2006, 08:08 PM
Actually Rachel, can you buy the Buell and give Rod Frank for the day as looking at his poor face everytime he realises his new shiny bike is not in the garage is becoming more and more upsetting. So ta ever so.
p.s. Buy the Buell. You know you want it. It knows you want it. We won't tell.
Paranoid Dave
04-04-2006, 08:32 PM
But kylie loves frank and frank is getting a new playmate - question is... is the newbie a boy or a girl?
Poor Rod, perhaps ducati should make inflatable bikes to fill empty voids for times like this. They could loan them out while people wait and give them something to smile at. Buy him as S4 model kit to build in the meantime. :D
benson
04-04-2006, 08:33 PM
If he wants Rod can come and get frank and borrow him whenever he likes! Seriously~ And yes I know you know I want the Buell.....I really really really do don't I??? And thanks - for not telling....just yet anyway!!!!
benson
04-04-2006, 08:39 PM
Im not sure what the Buell might be - suggestions on a post card and Nonnie please tell Rod if he wants he's more than welcome to borrow Frank!!!!!!

So we are going to Sherrinhgam on Sunday. Some of us will be on monsters and some won't. There -- service resumed...:running:
Ok, so it all sounds lovely but where are you meeting and at what time on any given Sunday?
benson
06-04-2006, 05:17 PM
The rose & crown pub at 1 I think - but if the weather forecast lives up to its name then it'll be the arm chair for me in London!
Nonnie
06-04-2006, 05:41 PM
Or for Norfolk contingencies and others wishing to meet there first, Veloce at midday otherwise Rose and Crown Sheringham for oneish.
Actually I'll probably be in the pub opposite warming up if the weather is as Rachel says. I'm keeping my beady little eye on it. I think we have to accept it will be cold, maybe it won't rain or snow but we'll see.
benson
06-04-2006, 05:51 PM
plug in pants at the ready!!!!!
Nonnie
06-04-2006, 06:05 PM
Ah yes, at least I'll be buffered from most of it by Rod in front of me as I'll have to be pillion!
Anyway Rachel, which um bike will um you be er bringing?!
Paranoid Dave
06-04-2006, 06:12 PM
what is the forecast - not that it bothers me ;)
benson
06-04-2006, 06:44 PM
I'll be on Frank all being well but if it's cold I may bring the GS - the new arrival is at least a week away!!!

06-04-2006, 11:42 PM

Forecast is for showers tomorrow, possibly heavy with hail - hmmmmm probably stay at home and polish the bike :-)
The muppets salted the roads around St.Ives tonight - aaarrrggghhhh!!
Nonnie
09-04-2006, 11:49 AM
against what will probably turn out to be a collective better judgement, we will be leaving in half an hour for Phil Goodes.
What's the worst that can happen?!
See you there Norfolk or at The Rose and Crown in Sheringham for 1ish.
Nonnie
09-04-2006, 04:28 PM
Some serious and nasty hail stones. Got to Phil Goodes and met Sidrat. What a nice man! And his nephew who although very quiet is quite possibly a very nice man too.
Also, a cyclist! Yes. With an Monster. But not on the Monster and just came to say Hi. Mr Cyclist, tell us a little about yourself or we may have to stalk you. We have your photograph!
Well, due to hail, we didn't make it to Sherringham. I sincerely hope nobody went to Sheringham unless they were going there for something else. Really am sorry. It was a collective decision. If you were there then let me know and somehow I will try to make amends.
Benson, PD, as ever, it's been real.

Great to meet you all, we stayed for lunch, watched BSB and left at 3.00pm, the first 27 miles went by in 17 minutes (work it out!) as we knew it would eventually rain and it did in buckets, stopped for fuel (how unusual!) and had a further coffee with a number of other motorcyclists braving the weather. Can't wait until the weather breaks and we can do it all again.
Paranoid Dave

the first 27 miles went by in 17 minutes (work it out!)
:D :hail: :D
a tad damp back to nonnies but nothing bad, BSB and some of the best crumble i've had for a long time, then off home the dull way with benson. (I don't mean that going with Benson is dull, but that the route Benson and I took was a dull one OK) Only a few minutes rain for me, just the odd spot or 3 so not worth the waterproofs but it kept the wind out my leather vents.
Feels good to be back on Kylie once again.

Yes Nonnie shortly will be selling t shirts for a vast profit naturally, that will tell everyone she is the best at making crumble, her crumble tastes better, lasts longer and goes down faster than anybody elses ever ever ever ever ever so nurrrrrrrrrr.

I'm so sorry I can't hear you. I was too busy lapping it up.
Told you it was going to rain and hail..... but would you listen?...... remember for next time...... Will ALWAYS knows best. :fou:
Seriously though hope you didn't get too wet and cold .... see you at the next one... weather permitting.
