View Full Version : Saturday 1st April - Findon
Popped into Cissbury Leathers today (next door to the DSC monthly haunt of
John Henry's cafe) in Findon, and they told me they are having an open day next Saturday - 1st April (no, this is not a joke) - to celebrate their referbishment and expansion of next stock ranges...
There will be loads of deals and special offers - discounts ranging form 10%-30% off all gear including Arai, Shoei, Bell, Momo, KBC, Alpinestars, Arlen Ness and loads of boots and accessories... there will be an auction for various items and a raffle/prize draw, and BSB star Chris Walker will also be there for pictures/autographs and such like.
John Henry's are also offering anyone who attends the event special deals on tucker next door, so I suggest we meet there from 10.30-11am for a brunch-time bite, then go and check out the betty bargins!
See you there!

i may well be up for that will check in end next week . if any 1 goin from my neck of the woods maybe we can meet up.;)
Well, that is the first time this year I've ridden my Monster without having to clean it when I got home! - hopefully a sign of good (weather) things to come!
An impressive turnout at Cissbury all day today, albeit somewhat lacking in MOC dept perhaps...
Met up with Saz & Rog who has already blitzed the MX gear section, and were soon joined by DRC. Flip was scheduled to arrive, but we didn't hold our breath - turns out he had a buy for his car, so congrates, and hope to see you soon fella!
WSB star Chris Walker was there all day (not just a dash in and out like you can get with some special guests) - and was the perfect gent/celeb, doing the photo/autograph/chat thing tirelessly all day... plenty of bargins, and a great auction atmosphere followed by the raffle - none of the MOCers won anything though, hey ho...
Saz, DRC and I then took the long and twisty way to P&H in Crawley, to indulge Saz's credit card in some Carbon trinketry for Dixxie - a lovely is chilly late afternoon wazz though some of Sussex' finest...
Hurrah!

What's happening in the background in the first shot there? Looks like a swan in a skirt is getting mugged?

Yes Nonnie, that's exactly what's happening...
Grand day out! Mmm, carbon carbon carbon.
It may have been a small turn out, but it's the quality that counts! I arrived early having picked up Dixxie from her MOT, closely followed by Rog and his mate Bull in the car. After buying out half the MX stock (Rog has finally got his KTM), we found that John Henry's weren't doing breakfast (???) so we headed off down towards Worthing. One "gut buster breakfast" each later, we popped back up to Findon, hotly pursued by JMo.
After not winning anything in the raffle (boo), Jen took us on a magical mystery tour, which ended in Crawley (oh well, can't win them all), where Jen put on her negotiating hat, resulting in Dixxie getting some carbon side panels and belt covers (mmmmmm).
Just need to get the dremmel out to make them fit. You'd think, what with them being designed for the Monster, that they'd fit in the first place....
Still, how nice it was to wear my summer gloves for the first time this year. My next ride out will be the weekender - woohoo!
