A quick heads up for anyone changing clutch plates and covers....

I found out the gard way this morning that some clutch plates and covers do not mix well. My nice new shiney Oberon clutch plate made contact with the cover supplied by Sprocket One Racing / Duke Demon and scuffed the surface...... And this was after I spaced the cover out with some washers....

Moral? Check everything clears before you start the bike....

Will post a pic or two later.....

Ped,

The Oberon guys should be able to skim the damaged area, and then polish and re-anodise it for you. May be worth a phone call?

I see you are already on the case :D

Just ordered a set of bar end mirrors for the trike from Oberon Eng.

Really helpful on phone - sounds like you have a useful contact

Oh don't worry Albie - I'm fully prepared for the "Wide Load" gags this season

The Oberon bar ends are pretty neat actually, and probably no wider than the standard micky mouse mirrors:cool:

I think your right though about bar end ones. They wiil look better than stalk mounted on yours. They are one of those necessary essentials we dont like the look of. Why I got dp ones. They are not too bad though actually.
