Im buying a monster 600 dark from a mate anybody tell what to look out for problem wise?

Can't help you with that one as I have an S4 with problems. Plenty of people on here can though. Welcome to the club.

check the following:

1. service history: if not complete, when was the last service done? - was it a 'belt' - or 12,000 mile service?
(service intervals are every year or 6,000 miles regardless, and every 2 years it is a 'biggie' or belt service)
2. check fork seals
3. check rear loop arm (as looking at a 'carbie') - this must not squeak, as joints can do this prior to snapping if not maintained.
4. check all lights, older bikes have a habit of bulbs blowing, particularly the rear lights, inc stop light
5. General wear & tear like you would any other bike - chain, sprockets, brakes etc etc
