My wee monnie (m620ie) is causing quite a stir amongst all my mates with bike. questions are comin thick and fast, HOW MUCH
WHERE YOU GET HER
WHY SHE SO SMALL
HOW FAST IS SHE?
ok 1st 3 questions no prob just tell them to feck off and mind there own business but the 4th i cant answer with a top end figure YET, Shes brand new so ive never bin over the ton and wont be for a while!! So can i please get some realistic top end figures to stop me from trying b4 she's ready!!!
Obviously i understand that all figures given were done on a private airfield or race track (aye right!!)

oh and you'll have to excuse me callin my wee baby 'she and her' I treat her like i would any special woman, take good care of her but throw my leg over as much as i can!!!:mand:

You'll probably find a standard 620 will reach around 115-120mph, eventually... (the official figure these days is 120mph I believe, but I imagine that was done on a test rig rather than on the road with wind resistance/drag etc. to take into account).

The later bikes have a six speed gearbox, so theoretically that sort of speed is attainable, but not necessaritly sustainable - as even my 5 speed 620 hit 120mph once (in favourable conditions) at around 8,500rpm - so still had a bit more to go, but it wouldn't pull it...

You'll find the bike is quick up to about 105/110mph - it's the last bit that takes forever, and to be honest isn't really worth it - and of course hanging onto a naked bike at that speed for any length of time is a pain too...

Look at it this way, you ought to have a clean licence for a lot longer than if you'd bought an R6 for example...

Ugh - sorry to hear about the viffer/car interface Blu, even more upset to see an actual picture of your gash (bet the exiles wished they were still on the MOC to follow that comment eh?)...

Hope you feel better soon... and go on, get another Monny - you know you wanna...

I know what youre sayin, its not dead dead dead BUT what you cant really see is that the suspension has snapped the thing it bolts on to onder like the seatish region and the back wheel has a huge buckle in it, and thats not the usual single sider swingarm, its the early 'car type' four bolt wheel....

I'm sure that Al could do it but whether or not its worth it is another matter, coz when i first looked at it i thought 'cool, its hardly damaged' but the more you look the more you see.

I'll consider the offer though, we'll have to do a deal for that and virtually a whole NC21 that ive got left over from the engine swap...

Cheers for the comments Jen, it wasnt actually that painful, the gash was the last injurie i noticed! I tell you what hurt more than that though - when i put the screwdriver through my hand 4 days after! when they tried to fix that at the hospital it REALLY hurt..

Hopefully i'll see you lot soon either on the thundercat (yes it does still exist, no it hasnt been mended yet) or on a new NC35 (fingers crossed)
