Hi all,
After last years massive turn out for the meet up at Ashbourne/Matlock, it's been suggested that we should do it again :D
Absolutely no details whatsoever at the mo but just wanted to let everyone know that I am starting to make plans!
Mand has suggested March/April which sounds good to me :)
All are welcome from any area!
The date for meet is Sunday 19th March
More details to follow as I make them and remember to post them :chuckle:
I'll keep editing this 1st post so that all the important info is in one place and easy to find.
Just a thought, maybe middle to late March? I almost forgot that we have the Weekender at the end of April.
Hopefully the weather sound be a bit warmer then (fingers crossed).

Sounds like a great idea to me.
I can't make the 5th March or the Weekend of 17-19th March.
The 12th March or 23th March would be good for me.
The bottisford Egg run is on 2nd april just to let you know.

Just consulted my diary (and my other half's shift pattern!) and the 26th of March looks like a good possibility.

March is a funny month.............
I could make a Sunday except the 5th & 26th. (sorry Jools :worried:)
So that leaves most of the others, namely 12th & 19th...........:scratch:

Come on we are Northerner's not Southern shandy's(No offence to anyone south of Birmingham)

I agree Bod, we can have some nice sunny days in March - I just thought it would be good to spread out the dates a bit because the weekender is at the end of April.

In defence of those from the south I would just like to say that shandy is a lovely refreshing drink on a warm summers day, as is ginger beer, or lemonade

Right folks, I've been checking the poll and it's not moved for a few days so I've come to a decision about the date for the meet!
Sunday 19th March!
AND
Sunday 16th April!
It looks like everyone interested can make at least one of those dates and having 2 meets planned should mean that no-one misses out :mand:
This thread will be kept solely for the March 19th meet. I'll start a new one for the April meet.
Right, now that we've got the date sorted I can start to look for a place to meet :mand:

I've had a word with Mand and we both agree that seeing as the weather is still naff and the roads still covered with salt that it's best to postpone this run until April.
I know I'm a wuss but I don't enjoy riding when I can't feel my extremities!

The Mad March Mini Mega Meet is still on at hartside if the road is cleared in time :eek:, it being March we're all Mad and there will be so few of us it'll be a mini meet :) :)

I know how you feel Mand :banghead:
We finally got enough rain last week to clear the salty sh*te of the roads, and I was looking forward to a run on the bike next weekend. Then at the first hint of snow forecast the tossers sling a load more salt down Sunday night. We didn't even have a frost here this morning for christ sakes!!!
Spent 2 hours Sunday cleaning salty crap off Sandra's (chrome city) trike too!
